Re: Wind Vanes

a small bit, only slight breezes that hardly spin the anemometer. first i had only one stick ,but that wasn,t enough,a second worked well. the resistance is much less then one would think, the actual contact from the sticks on the surfaces is very small. vane hasn't been frozen up yet,the anemometer h...

Re: Wind Vanes

due to the turbulance from my appartement, the biggest problem for me was the overshoot from the vane when the wind suddenly drops. so to damp it i made some brakes on it,using 2 satay sticks(?). works pretty well,it also stopped it acting like a propeller it still registers turbulance, but doesnt go ...

Re: WH-1091/WH-1080 Ect Pressure / Back light

tested it also and you are right. my pressure also fluctuated .1 down and later .1 up again. looks like the power regulation is a bit off. i think that is why it switches off the light after a few seconds if it really bothers you,try getting the power for the leds directly from the usb connector(+5v...

Re: Dead 1081

try replacing the 3 elco's.
most common problem of using low quality elco's to produce as cheap as possible.

Re: Favicon

thats weird, mine refused to show it until i put the code on my pages,
yet now it does also show the one of the forum too.(that was always the standard opera ico).
i will do some digging at the operaforum what could be it,sure it was some preference i forgot about. :)

Re: Anemometer calculations

here are a few: WS=1.25C/T WS=wind speed in miles per hour C=counts T=time interval over which counts are measured(seconds) or To determine wind speed in miles per hour (mph), use this formula: calculate the circumference of your anemometer by multiplying the diameter (or distance between opposing s...

Re: Temperature data spikes revisited

thats a very nice temp.plot
the faulty crimping could be the cause, when the cable was moved by wind,it could have made it on/off/on/off......
but could also have been the connector on the pcb.
( hopefully thats water under the bridge)

will wait for your results afterwards, but looks good.

Re: Temperature data spikes revisited

that didn't help much. a spike is normal, thats a hedgehog :( isn't there a faulty (smd)part on the pcb power regulation stable enough or the thermistor itself may be deteriorated, damaged inside. it's leads to long(doubt that). honestly,i haven't got a clue at the moment, there isnt much you can do an...
