I noticed the console was synced more closely. I put it down to chance.steve wrote:The nice thing about setting the clock using the serial protocol directly is that it can be set to the second, unlike with the DLL which only does it to the minute.

Re: Wind spike ignored
Steve, I just installed build 3015. I noted that you had put code in to set the clock so I thought I would test it by setting the console clock wrong by a minutes or so and then stop and start Cumulus to see if it set the clock - it did! However, while I fiddled with the console I left Cumulus runni...

Re: Wind rose on the gauges page
Err, no. The wind rose works normally, i.e. where the wind is coming from. Aggregation appears to be the last 10 minutes. Steve will correct me if I am wrong on that last.

Windows 10 IE 11
Don't know if you are interested but the latest version of Internet Explorer 11 (11.0.9800.0) in Windows 10 Build 9926 says "WebSocket NOT supported by your Browser!" when trying to browse Cumulus UI. I realise this is not an issue you are directly interested in - it being a beta browser i...

Ahh, okay, once again my misunderstanding. {bows out of conversation...}steve wrote: If I add the code necessary to work around the issue with Meteobridge, it doesn't mean that Cumulus will work with Meteohub, that would effectively require support for a new station type.

Re: Cumulus MX and Meteobridge
I used to use Metohub (not Meteobridge) with "another weather program". Meteohub is like Meteobridge except it keeps a record of the data itself and can generate graphs/reports etc. Indeed it is written by the same company and obviously uses much of the same code. it got me out of many a t...

Re: NOAA annual report - minor cosmetic
Steve,
While we are obsessing with degree days...
In the wiki you intimate that cumulus calculates degree days on an integrated minute by minute basis. Is this still the case?
Probably should have asked this in the main forum but hey ho... sorry.

Re: Wind spike ignored
I have been using the console average all the time and haven't seen anything unusual. What firmware version are you on Adrian- not that it may be significant. I'm running 3.12 with a 'real' serial connection. Hi Mark, I'm on 3.12 as well (had to find the {sotto voce} m a n u a l to find out the ver...

Re: Wind spike ignored
Thanks Steve. Understood.
I wonder why I have started to get these anomalous readings from the console all of a sudden. Did I read that you now don't use the Davis DLL - or did I dream that one? If so, maybe the Davis DLL filters oddities out.

Re: Wind spike ignored
I've realised that I'm filtering on the speed in the user's units - in your case kph - so 255 (or whatever this was) won't get included in your case. I thought you weren't filtering at all for Davis? The '255 error thing' was purely speculation anyway, as the spec makes no mention of any special va...

Re: Wind spike ignored
Wind spike this morning again
430.9 kph
Windy!!
That equates to 267.749 MPH which doesn't look like the 255 error thing - unless there is something superimposed on top of the 255.
Nothing on the console. Highest speed since midnight is 34kph.

Privileges
Steve, After doing my tests with the urlacl reservations I had an error with it accessing a regisry key (I left it running with a non-elevated userid). If you look at the attached file it fails trying to get system uptime to fill in the tags in a file is was processing and dumps the whole file to th...

Re: Build 3011 - Service Unavailable
Tests completed. Running as non-elevated user, having no urlacl reservation gives Service Unavailable - as expected. Adding urlacl reservation of http://*:8998/ corrects things. Running as the system account - as a service - requires no urlacl reservation Running as elevated user, with urlacl of htt...
