I personally would go as soon as possivle as in my opinion this is a better version than V3 and more reliable.
I have converted all three of my sites.

Re: FTP not working
It would be helpful if you switched FTP logging on (program Settings > Logging Options > FTp Logging for 15 minutes and then posted the file here. 2 things of notice. 1) you are using standard FTP, are you sure that this is allowed on your hosting server. 2) You have have no server Directory defined...

Re: CumulusMX PHP Webtags
Not sure I see the connection with producing a list of PHP ready webtags. Did you look at the format of cumuluswebtags.txt as this is what is required to allow a server based PHP program access to the webtags as individual items. Using Excel to edit anything is a bad idea as it imposes it's own form...

Re: Installing two copies of v4 as a service
Mark , I believe that the user that asked for these instructions is a Windows 11 user, whereas these instructions are for a Linux install. I'm running two instances of CumulusMX V4 simultaneously on Debian 12, sorry I didn't make this clear. Copy the existing cumulusmx.service file in /etc/system/s...

Re: CMXv4 .NET8 Windows 10
One of the pre-requisites for installing .NET V8 on Windows 10 is it has to be Version 1607 or later?

Did you run the CMD window with Admin rights?
Also why are you running CreatMissing, you should be running MigrateData3to4?

Did you build a new V4 directory and convert the data OK?
Did you copy everything from the release including the new /runtimes directory this is very important?
Is there a MXDiags file you can upload?

V4 Synology NAS
For anyone who wants to run CumulusMX on a Synology NAS, a version of .NET V8.0.1 has been released and I have V4 running natively on the my Synology NAS DS720+. This is using DSM 7.2, I am not sure if .NET V8 has been released on DSM 6.xx.xx. No need for dockers or anything else just .NET V8 and MX...
