Code: Select all

pi@raspberrypicumulus:~ $ mono -v
-bash: mono: command not found
This isn't the cause of your problem, but just to note it needs to be capital V in

Code: Select all

mono -V

Re: Instructions: Installing CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi

Well that's the first step solved! Yes, sounds like mono did not install. You can check by entering mono -V which asks for the Version number and should respond something like: pi@Cumulus:~ $ mono -V Mono JIT compiler version 5.18.0.240 (Debian 5.18.0.240+dfsg-3 Sat Apr 20 05:16:08 UTC 2019) Copyrig...

Re: Instructions: Installing CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi

The "Network error: connection timed out" means that Putty or Filezilla [you don't say which one is failing?] has failed to 'find' your Raspberry Pi. Here are some things to try before starting again: If your error during installation of Filezilla was the cause of the problem, Filezilla pr...

Re: Weather station website not updating

Agree with Hans. But that's just the start of your investigations. Explanation: 'localhost' means 'on this machine', so you've asked your laptop to look for the Cumulus web interface on itself. Is this laptop the computer that is running CumulusMX (you haven't quite said that). It is better to write...

Re: CumulusMX Errors on Raspberry Pi

Your log shows 2 different problems going on simultaneously. The first is: "Data input appears to have stopped" I think this is a Cumulus message, repeated every minute, meaning that receipt of data from your weather station has stopped. Check physical wires, that batteries are not flat et...

Re: Cumulus MX stopping on Rpi ?

Need to take this slow and steady - I fear you're getting confused. A blank SD card in a Raspberry Pi will do absolutely nothing. So I think you mean a newly created card - but what did you put on it? The default username is pi and default password is raspberry Not the other way round! Windows will ...

I presume you've checked it's not all due to a dodgy battery?

Re: webtag #ProgramUpTime

Stacks overflow. Dynamic memory allocation gets out of hand. Indices extend and overwrite data. Power glitches corrupt RAM content.
Yes, I know it shouldn't happen, but it does.

Best practice is to always schedule occasional system reboots. They can avoid all sorts of odd problems like this ...

Re: Feature Requests

I've read your messages several times, but just get increasingly confused what you are requesting. You say the relationship is linear. If that's the case, then Mark's offer to simply add offset and multiplier (as for other measurements) would be a perfect fix. If it's not linear and it's as messy as...

Re: I'll bet there's something I'm missing!

Check cumulus.ini in the Directory you created that under "Station" you have an entry "Port=x" where x is your connected USB port. Two things wrong here. First, for CumulusMX, this file was renamed from cumulus.ini to Cumulus.ini (ie starts with an upper case C in MX). Did you r...

Re: Instructions: Installing CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi

I'm glad my instructions helped (or maybe ... led you to different problems) Locales are a foreign topic to me (sorry - bad pun!) as I'm in en-GB and everything just works. First, remember that locales are not just about 'short date format' - they also control for example the decimal and thousands s...
