Re: hosting
using my link will give me the referral credit, but I'm likely to be moving to another host so give dazza1223 the referral. One of the reasons I'm moving is the ssl, the new host I'm moving to has free ssl. https://www.hostgator.com/ BTW, dazza1223 there's a referral number on your HostPresto home &...

Re: Raspberry oS "Buster" to "Bullseye"
At a quick glance, if you're using your pi as a server and setting up 'nginx' and PHP on Bullseye it looks like anyone who tries will be a "pioneer". Early attempts have proved problematic! While looking on the raspberrypi.com forum found this: Top reasons to NOT move to Bullseye 1) Everyt...

A great rPi source of development is Jeff Geerlinghttps://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog. His blog is all business, no sales/promotion. He looks at just about everything rPi.

Re: Rasperry Pi Bullseye
I have to update my comments. I made the update headless, everything worked fine. But after reading the "raspberrypi.com" article I wanted to see the desktop improvements so plugged in the monitor and low and behold there was no desktop, just terminal. Tried raspi-config but unable to clos...

Raspberry oS "Buster" to "Bullseye"
Bought a Davis WeatherLink Live (WLL) the other day, wanted to set up a dedicated "development" rPi to play with. rPi 3+ with SSD boot. Encountered several issues but after a while got it up and running. Currently CMX 3154. The biggest issue was the WLL, took several days to figure out why...

Re: Davis Instrument news
John, thanks for the great info. I'm just a retired airline pilot with a interest in computers and weather. Just thought I'd share some observations. I first got really interested in the data end of weather while flying trans-Atlantic circa 2000's. Satcom, CPDLC, and modern jet engine fuel control t...

Re: Davis Instrument news
   :bash: :bash: So, I really need to sharpen up my game! I saw the “story” on the Davis website, I mean I was predeposed to thinking it was a “new” story. So when I’m reading your posts I realize that it was 2 years old. But think about it, WLL and Airlink. Both would contribute t...

Davis Instrument news
I'd guess this is the most relevant spot to post this. It started with steel, then trains, oil, banks, now "DATA" is KING! Especially weather data, IBM sucked up WeatherUnderground, Apple sucked up Dark Sky to name a few. I just stumbled upon this and hadn't seen anything about this on the...

Problem in 3151
I have 3151 running on two different rPi's, one updates my website, the other is just local. The one for the live website encounters this problem the other isn't. I've updated and upgraded the rPi, 3149 runs flawlessly. I've attached log, I may have encountered this before: 2021-10-22 17:22:00.385 W...

Re: Help with Windy.com upload
Had the same problem, CumulusMX running on "Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Rev 1.2". Did a sudo apt update/upgrade, reboot then: From the "stackoverflo" link from above used the solution sudo apt install -y ca-certificates sudo sed -i '/^mozilla\/DST_Root_CA_X3.crt$/ s/^/!/' /etc/ca-cert...

DarkSky sunset and AerisWeather
There have been several posts about the "sunset" of DarkSky API's but now AerisWeather has created a section to migrate from DarkSky.

Re: 3129 and 3130 will not run on my PC
Ok, on my Win 10 "insiders build" -latest- started up fine and ran fine.
Only ran for a few minutes but no problems.
My "Extra_files" folder is outside the CumulusMX folder and I hadn't created it so that's why MX couldn't find files.
Attached the mxdiags
