Re: Automatic slide show from directory (PHP)- Better soluti
There are obviously lots of code snippets out there, which if the don't do what you want someone of your experince should be able to mash. ;) I assume your biggest gripes are your image load times (which of course will be determined by their size, and the actual transition effect) Here's one I foun...

Automatic slide show from directory (PHP)- Better solutions?
I'm using a slideshow PHP page to display images that are in a directory, These images get uploaded daily and visiting the page( http://ace2weather.com/sunrise.htm )loads the images for the slideshow. Although this works, it tends to stumble on load and the transition effects from image to image are...

Re: There has got to be a easy way to promote ones site!!!!
That was a one off day with clear sky....
Tomorrow will not be the same, rain they say!!!
Mm, might try the local messenger, which is a free weekly news paper, I dare say they'll charge!!!
I've been posting flyers up at librarys with a QR code and tear offs, but I'll try that news paper..
Thanks

Re: There has got to be a easy way to promote ones site!!!!
I'm keen on flight simulation and on the forums I use I embed the php code you see in my sig into my forum signatures. The curious will click on it and that is then recorded by the flagcounter software I use. 30 day average visits is 21 with an all-time max of 121. People from 119 countries have vi...

Never going to make money off a weather site, just trying to share it around.....uncle_bob wrote:Why do you have a need to raise hits? Are you trying to make money off it? If so, maybe a weather station isn't the right content you want to be serving up.
Maybe read up on SEO to raise it up google ranks.

There has got to be a easy way to promote ones site!!!!
Any ideas on free promoting of ones site?
I use Facebook groups, but the Max posts are around 40-50, weather station top sites, Craig List and a couple of cam submit sites.
This generates traffic, but not continuing traffic, only traffic on the day of posting......
Thoughts and ideas??

Re: Ideas to stop spiders making a home on my camera?
I finally got the little bastard(3rd attempt).
Sprayed around the base and onto a tissue to wipe around the casing....
Touch wood. I've never had a issue with the rain sensor and stuff, but in must spray around it again just in case.....

Re: What to purchase
That's how it starts, "I'm just going to play around with it" or "it's handy to check the weather"
Next minute, BAM, you're got a fully blown weather site with cam running on a dedicated PC.
I blame Steve for his brilliant software!!!!!!!
