New here and have a few question re Cumulus and WH1080
... extreme readings. 2. For some reason I really like getting on wunderground and see what has been going on my house. When the computer suspends/hibernates what ever you call it the data stops updating and the graphs will flatline. I figure there really is no way around this except for making ...

Re: Data on yesterday dont show up on website
You could use the 'Close on Suspend' option on Cumulus' station settings page to force it to close if the PC wants to hibernate.umulus can't cope with being hibernated.

... options? No! I do not use either 'suspend' or 'hibernation' on my 'development' computer and have not activated that option inside Cumulus - the 'hibernate' and 'suspend' options are (have been) deactivated on ALL my computers as those options have created problems under all version of Windows ...

Re: COMM Port Problem
... the only way I could get it to work was to uninstall the com1 port, scan for hardware changes, it would reinstall and then it would work. If I hibernate the notebook and start back up the com1 port still works until a reboot is performed. Then it's back to remove, rescan etc. I used this as ...

Re: Rain Rate - explain please
Steve I had a situation this morning where my Rainfall Rate was up around 200mm/hr. The problem was due to the Hibernate last night. What I normally do is to press the Power Button to start the Hibernate process, Cumulus brings up it's "shutdown" yes/no and I answer ...

Re: Newbie questions
... saved data from the workstation to fill any gaps in its own data logs, but that doesn't seem to be happening for me. Overnight (when the PC was hibernated) there are no datapoints in the Cumulus logfile, so graphs show a clear gap. The weather station evidently was operating though, because ...

... I thought it might be something to do with when I first started using it, but it seems everyones starts on the 08th. The 'shutdown Cumulus' on Hibernate has worked 100% BTW :)

Hi Steve,
Just to remind you....
I hibernate my system, so the new option doesn't really help - I'm still having to remember to shut C down prior to hibernating.

Re: Pressure off set n new release?
I will investigate to see if there is a way I can get Windows to tell Cumulus that the system is hibernating, and close down.harrym1byt wrote:I'm still a little confused as to a correct method to recover from accidently leaving Cumulus running when hibernate the system.

Re: Feature request
That sounds great
The hibernate is my one outstanding major issue. EW would either pick up where it left off, or simply lock up after an hibernate.
FYI Since the monsoon problems of which I made you aware, there have been no further problems with rain

... write a small utility to trim the data files back to sound data? The problem I have is that as often as not - I forget to shut Cumulus down when I hibernate my system. The result is that when I turn my system back on, Cumulus doesn't know it has been turned off and fails to collect the data stored ...

... then send me the debug.log file. And yes (although not applicable here), as dane says (and another user has experienced), if you go into standby/hibernate, Cumulus doesn't know it hasn't been running, so doesn't catch up. I will see if there is anything I can do about this. Steve
