How can I upload the data from the station to Cumulus?
Hi all. I finally bought a Fine Offset/EasyWeather type of station, exactly this one: http://www.satlink-deutschland.de/files/WH1090_solar_A.jpg The memory is already full so I installed the Easy Weather to backup the data in the computer and start recording again in the station memory. Easy weather...

Re: Unreliable Fine Offset
Nothing of the sort... but YMMV, because mine operates on the 868MHz-band as well. I did have incessant transmission errors when my console was in the vicinity of the computer. I took a 3m USB extension cable and relocated it... and all problems disappeared. Also, we're not really in a builtup area...

My FO WH3081, equipped with the standard radiation shield, shows wild temperature and humidity deviations once the sun comes out. This desperately needs to be, and will soon be, cured with a Stevenson screen. How many extra ºC deviation can it show on direct sun vs a properly shielded station like ...

Re: Does anybody know this station?
Thank you all. I'm not worried about it not having PC connection as long as you can download the data to the PC. I emailed the company selling it and they say the internal has space for storing the weather data of 35 years!! (considering it records every 30 minutes) Mcrossley, I thought it had a pre...

Does anybody know this station?
It looks like a low cost version of the Davis Vantage Vue. http://www.ebay.es/itm/Neuheit-Profi-Funk-Wetterstation-PH1003-Solar-Farbdisplay-Windmessung-Regen-UV-/390524585230?pt=DE_Elektronik_Computer_Haushaltsger%C3%A4te_Wettermessung_PM&hash=item5aed14450e#ht_4868wt_1271 http://www.satlink-deu...

Where can I find the Fine Offset with the new rain gauge?
I've seen this: http://fineoffset.com/rain_gauge_new.htm It seems like that new rain gauge with a few improvements will be more accurate, but I can't find it in any online shop. Every shop seems to be still selling the stations with the old rain gauge. Also seen this article: http://www.digitalham.c...

Re: New to the forum with some doubts about stations.
Hello again David. I think, if I was you, I probably would start out with a cheap station that can log the data while "offline". Your Dad will get the experience and maybe later the bug will catch him and he'll want to upgrade to a better station and a permanently online presence. Thank y...

Re: New to the forum with some doubts about stations.
PS: Excuse me if it's a bit hard to read me, my english is a bit basic for this kind of technical explanations!! Your English is great! Better than mine, but I'm Australian ;) A couple of points, * The serial - USB converters do work, but sometimes take a bit of mucking around. * The LaCrosse and F...

Re: New to the forum with some doubts about stations.
- Memory on the Oregons: I've read the users manual several times but still don't find any reference to the amount of data they can store. The WMR88 and WMR100 don't have any memory at all for logging periodic data readings, so you have to have your software running all the time. Thanks a lot. Oreg...

New to the forum with some doubts about stations.
Hi everyone. My name is David and I'm from Spain. I bought a Lacrosse WS3650 as a gift for my Dad: http://www.weather-station-products.co.uk/lacrosse-weather-station-ws3650 that I sadly have to return as it only has a serial port and all my computers have just USB. I've tried several USB-serial conv...
