Re: Viewing Cumulus on an alternative system

Whilst I agree that Teamviewer/logmein etc are great tools for remote controlling your a different machine, that is a major sledgehammer for viewing current cumulus data is it not?

Re: Viewing Cumulus on an alternative system

Oddly I had pretty much the same thought today, and am toying with a few ideas.

I don't really want to be looking at web sites or running additional web servers or anything complicated, something to read and display realtime.txt over the LAN using a shared drive can't be too hard though.

Re: Cumulus PHP-GD Banner

While waiting for 'er indoors to get ready to go to the pub, I bug fixed mine slightly and created a funtion for colours and sorted Mark14's too.

Mark - enjoy, don't forget to backup your current one just in case I broke this.

Re: Cumulus PHP-GD Banner

Yes, maybe I should have made that clear, mine is a completely independant script (written before I found this one existed)... so another good idea is to use the forum search facility :)

Re: Cumulus PHP-GD Banner

if you want to rip some colour coding from mine, feel free... http://virtualkev.com/eq/weather2.jpeg?view=src I've used the varaible $OUT_TEMP and checked the values in 2 degree steps (C) , and return the value in $colour which is then used in the image text line. if ($OUT_TEMP < -10) { $colour = im...

Re: Future data formats

If someone were to write a program which took say `realtime.txt` and updated a MySQL database, and published said program with a GNU GPL license, that wouldn't be in contravention of the original MySQL GPL license.... However from an actual development / realease and manageability point of view, its...

Google ad choices

I saw in another thread about dating ads etc. You can choose which ads you get from Google to a certain degree. To change your preferences, do the following In the ad there will be a tiny button (show in attached pic) . Click this, which will take you to the Google adsense preferences. google.png Fr...

Re: Remote wireless PC/Console conection

I was wondering if something like this might work?

Anyone tried anything similar?

Re: Jeez, the weather is *boring*.

I'm totally excited by this weather - instead of sitting indoors looking out, I've been outdoors trying to find Romans!

No luck, but at least I don't need waders this week :)

Re: Php - New varaiable

as a side note, use of switch() is probably better suited to this. switch($WarnColor){ case "#ffffff" : $test='Varningar/error.gif'; break; case "#29d660" : $test = 'Varningar/ingen_varning.gif'; break; (... etc etc ...) case #fecb31" : // you can have multiples to give one result: case #gecb32" : c...
