help with ftp updating !

Hi all For some reason when Cumulus updates my htm files eg index.htm etc the data they contain is erased so that they all contain 0 bytes! If I copy and paste the code into them directly in c panel they are fine until the next update wipes them out again!! any advice would be much appreciated! rega...
