Re: index.php?

Hosting is thru GreenGeeks....it is possible the host updated something that led to this. As I stated it worked fine for a long time, and I have not done anything at my end that changed anything.

2 days ago i began having an issue with my homepage, it would not display some scripts correctly. An Advisory and 2 forecast scripts from Ken True at Saratoga. These had worked for several years without any problems. I contacted Ken and he was kind enough to suggest renaming my index.htm file to ind...

Re: Sanday Weather Closing Down?

I'm going to be posting soon about my future plans, and how they might affect Cumulus. I chose a similar path...early with less $ or later with less energy.... I chose the former. You've chosen wisely. Good luck. And if you want to bring that "American RV" over the pond for any reason, I've got par...

Re: Storm Gertrude

Steve, I had a look at your website....noticed you "Wind Run" yesterday....OVER 950 miles!!!....Wow, We live in a breezy/windy area(I thought) and our highest Wind Run ever was just under 250 miles. Incredible that your home is still OK. My guess is you did not hang the laundry outside yesterday! St...

Odd dayfile behavior

I typically close Cumulus, then put the computer to sleep or turn off each evening. This has been the case since installing Cumulus 5-6 years ago. No problems with doing this. A few days ago, when opening Cumulus to start the day, Cumulus opened just fine, but also the dayfile opened in my text read...

Re: Data spikes...Ambient WS-2095

Here is Ambient's reply: "Try clearing memory. Something is getting corrupted. To restore to factory default, press and hold the UP arrow key for 30 seconds. You will need to set up everything again. Consider EasyWeather if the problem persists. Regards, Ed" I won't be trying Easy Weather... I did n...

Data spikes...Ambient WS-2095

I've been using this station since early August 2015.....It has a problem with data spikes 2-3 times a week....It also had "sensor contact lost" about once a week, till I moved the sensor array closer to the console, now it doesn't lose contact as often. The data spikes still occur..IE: temp 140 deg...

Re: What to purchase

Thanks for the replies, thats a big price difference between the units. I did a little reading up on the features AMWS2090 and for the price it seems really good. Do you need anything additional to connect to Cumulus and WU ? I found a price for the Davis Vue (not including the USB link) for $269 o...

Re: What to purchase

Davis is the standard for sure. As another option, there is this from Ambient Weather: http://www.ambientweather.com/amws2090.html I've had one of these since August when my 6 year old FineOffset died. I've been satisfied with the results. As with the Davis Vue, its an "all in one" so placement is s...
