Re: Daylight Savings

I've come back to this as I have noticed my console time is out of sync with my computer/CMX time again. I have the option checked in CMX to sync it, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. The console is ahead by 3 seconds and it'll keep increasing over the coming months. I have to manually set...

Re: New Record? Post here.

I was on for a new record for consecutive days without rain.. if it had stayed dry, it would have been 15 days. But, no, it had to rain a pathetic amount and ruin it. :(

Re: New Record? Post here.

So that record works on the older Cumulus then? That backs up my confirmation that it doesn't work on CMX. 3 or 4 times this year I have broken that record, but it doesn't acknowledge. Presumably you are referring to the newrecord web tag rather than the actual recording of the record (which I am c...

Re: New Record? Post here.

A very rare occurrence on my 9.2 year-old station. All-time record broken for greatest daily temperature range. 20.8°C . Min was 9.7°C; max was 30.5°C. Wow! :o atr.png So that record works on the older Cumulus then? That backs up my confirmation that it doesn't work on CMX. 3 or 4 times this year I...

Re: WU-forecast.php

Hi Ken! I use: $maxForecastLegendWords = 5; just to keep the wording small under the icons. Obviously, this will also only show a maximum of 5 words in the tooltip when you hover over the icon. Is there an easy change I could make where I keep the words to 5 under the icon, but show the full forecas...

I wouldn't get bogged down with it to be honest.

Re: Net Office WOW site

It looks as though it is a problem their side. I cannot see any independent stations, only official Met Office stations.

Re: Cumulus integration with Windfinder

I've just had a look at Windfinder, and found my station data on there.. I never even set anything up with them, so they must be scraping another weather network to obtain the data.

Then why is there options for UTF8 to be turned on or off in Extra web files? :D

Re: Problem with degrees symbol

I just don't get how it works when Cumulus isn't processing the file? As soon as I start it again, the weird chars appear. Another route I tried; I don't have UTF-8 checked in CMX, stopped the processing. Opened up the text files and saved them as ANSI and the degrees symbol works. I started the pro...

Tried UFT8 on it's own, with BOM and ANSI. All ideas have exhausted lol

Re: Problem with degrees symbol

I'm doing nothing with the files. I have a simple ipcamT.txt which get's processed to ipcam.txt, and then the text get's read my the webcam software. Both files show °C and both files are encoded with UTF-8 BOM (opened in NOTEPAD++) If it was the webcam software, surely the degrees symbol wouldn't s...

Re: Problem with degrees symbol

Yeah sorry. I forgot to put back what I was trying to use as I removed it just to keep 'C' That aside, using ° stays as ° in the output. If I stop CMX from processing the file and manually put the degrees symbol in, it works fine, but as soon as CMX processes the file again, it adds °C to...

Re: Problem with degrees symbol

Hi Steve

I'm using the .txt file extension.
It is set to UTF-8 as well.
