Curiosity begs me to ask, is the reason the WH3080 produces the correct date down to the fact it doesnt log 00:00, the closest it gets is 23.59?

Re: Possible Wind Run Bug?
I use midnight roll over and I use the stations logger. I have now checked both my WH3080 and VP2 versions of cumulus. The 3080 version is working correctly, the VP2 is incorrect. See screen shot of VP2 records showing two sample dates, the “view this period” dates of 11/08/2012 and 01/09/2012 are t...

Possible Wind Run Bug?
Either I'm misinterpreting, I have a problem with my records or I may have found a bug. In Highs and Lows the reports “all time”, “monthly records” “this month highs and Lows “and “this year’s highs and Lows” the highest wind run value shown is not for the date recorded but for the day before. These...

Wind chill cut off
I have only just noticed that wind chill is calculating above the 10oc cut off. I have checked cumulus wiki, and found I need to add “UseWindChillCutOff=1” in the .ini. I was going to add it in the station section as shown below, or does it need to go somewhere specific? CalculatedDP=1 CalculatedWC=...

Re: Only 2.3 hours of sunshine?
I thought the same as Steve, your w/m2 readings are too low for a bright sunny day. Unfortunately there’s no standard solar sensor for the 3080, they all vary. Compared to mine your lux is very low, for 12.00pm I have approx. 66,500 lux 698 w/m2 and even at 4.00pm I have 53,333 lux 560 w/m2. My read...

WH3080 solar screen improvement – a Blue Peter solution
When I first set up my 3080 I chose a north facing position, with the solar pod facing south and transmitter north. All was well with temperatures until May this year. Now the sun is in the north east first thing, and temperatures had become silly. I have a check sensor in the shade, and at 6.00am t...

Problem with this years highs and lows records
Whilst correcting temperatures in the log files I noticed I have a another problem, which I believe came about due to a console communications glitch so that cumulus downloaded the days 1 to 5 May again whilst downloading the 6 to 8 of May. Also 2 spurious records appeared, 1 Jan 2000 and a date in ...

Correcting Max Temperature readings
Despite setting up my 3080 with the temp sensor in the shade facing North and the solar in the sun facing South, I now have a problem with sun from the NE. First thing the sun is catching the NE face of the sensor and on Sunday the 13th I got 22.1c at 9.13am! Not bad for the UK in mid May, if only i...

Outside Temperature Multiplier
Due to the positioning of my WH3080 it’s needed a temperature calibration since I first set up. However sensors are no longer available for my Oregon Scientific BAR 113, so I have finally got a BAR 206; a fine unit, with the clever feature of automatically scanning up to 3 sensors at 5 second interv...

Re: Solar and UV sensors going off line - fix?
Last Friday installed my replacement solar unit, a big thanks to Signatrol for their prompt service. Only three visible differences, firstly the underside of the new solar unit has a gold star stuck on. Presumably this signifies a mk2 unit. Secondly its lux output is 60% down on the old unit which i...

Re: Solar Settings
Firstly how accurate do you want your recordings to be. If a general impression is all you are after, then altering with the settings will be fine. To be as accurate as the 3080 will allow will take time. I decide on as accurate as I could get, and I've been fine tuning my 3080 since mid-November 20...

Re: Low Battery Life
Spoke to soon. It's now exactly a week and the Duracell’s have been drained to the point where the reception is as poor as the original batteries. This leads to the following conclusions 1 The solar charger on the unit is working. It enabled the original batteries to keep going for nearly two months...
