Re: WH3080 Radio Time Signal Reception

the bargraph *does* scroll. Normal. IIRC, the forecast graphic flashing means a rapid change of pressure detected; more rapid still would bring on flashing arrows too, as a storm warning.

Re: WH3080 Radio Time Signal Reception

reception is indeed pretty directional. Point the long face of the unit towards the ESE or thereabouts. I had mine set with the receiver due South (for the solar sensor's happiness) and was only getting spotty time reception overnight, none during the day. But with the ferrite rod face-on to the sig...

Re: WH3080 solar readings

yes and yes, as far as I can see.
location is set as 54 35 48 and 5 39 46 (from "location sensor" in Autoroute)
timezone is at GMT w. auto DST

the lag is repeatable every day, it doesn't appear related to sun/cloud conditions...

Re: Unit stopped receiving data when USB in

possible low signal, made worse by interference caught by the USB cable? Try repositioning the console.

Re: WH3080 Signal Strength

No problems here since opening the receiver and dangling the antenna wire out the back of the case; a few dead periods previously. The antenna doesn't appear to be tuned to 433 (23cm), maybe someone can advise on increasing or cutting the length for better performance. in my case it's only 25ft or s...

Re: WH3080 solar readings

I've seen the light and UV readings on the console drop to --- occasionally. Temp and wind is still transmitted so it might be a connection issue w. the solar unit. I squeezed the pins on the plug, haven't seen the issue since. Might be worth a try?

Re: WH3080 solar readings

so the transmitted value is actually from 0-14 rather than the console display's 0-12?

/ must have a go at the trans and threshold on mine- it lights up yellow a bit to much methinks.

Re: DOA Unit

batteries are definitely making good contacts at both ends? Some AAs seem to have shorter "pips" on the positives than others- worth checking they're not hung-up on plastic.
