Re: Build 3011 - Service Unavailable

Using http://localhost:8998 on the cumulus machine, works but not http://{ipaddress}:8998 (from anywhere, local or remote)

I can live with that until 3012

BCJKiwi, have you added the "netsh http add urlacl" ? I wonder if Steve has done something that has broken it for people who have done that but not for people who haven't...

    Build 3011 - Service Unavailable

Steve, I have installed 3011. I now get "HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable." when trying to connect to the UI. I have restarted the application and cleared the browser cache and tried different browsers. It doesn't matter if I attempt to connect from a remote PC or the local PC where Cumulu...

...but you wouldn't want to put the UI up as it is on an external web site... unless you like the idea of people editing your station settings.

IOException causing extra file generation to stop

Hi Steve, The program was minding its own business this morning - no one touching the PC etc. All of a sudden it decided it couldn't access one of the extra txttmp files. I suspect it was the system making a drive snapshot at the beginning of my daily backup - so we will have to put that one down to...

    Re: Cumulus MX not connecting

or even easier, use some sort of remote access software - google chrome has the remote desktop app which works well (although a little slow sometimes) and there are loads of others.

Re: Cumulus MX as a Server Service..

I can confirm that Build 3010 now closes in a controlled manner when running as a service under nssm. I can now use net start CumulusMX or net stop CumulusMX. net stop gave me: Exiting system due to external CTRL-C, or process kill, or shutdown 2015-01-18 16:38:16.164 Cumulus closing 2015-01-18 16:3...

Or put it in the task scheduler - but that's for wimps!

Re: Cumulus MX as a Server Service..

It looks like neither ctrl-c nor closing the command window result in a clean closedown. However, it appears that I can trap both of those and perform a clean closedown. ...that would be brilliant if you could because I was just about to post this: No, it doesn't log those - so I wouldn't recommend...

Re: Cumulus MX as a Server Service..

Well, since there was no reply to this, I thought I would share my experiences running as a service... I tried just using SC to install as a service but cumulus wouldn't run. Don't know why and I didn't spend a lot of time trying. It seemed not to actually start, or if it did start it didn't get as ...
