Re: Windows 8
Re: Windows 8: the best reason I can think of to upgrade to Windows 8 is simple: <ClarksonMode> POWERRRRRRRRR! </ClarksonMode> Windows 8 is much faster than Windows 7. My NC10 netbook starts up from a complete shutdown as fast as it resumes from hibernation: 16 seconds. (ok, ok... it has 2 gb ram a...

Re: Unable to get Cumulus Toolbox to work.
Kevin, I just re-installed Toolbox and also had problems getting Toolbox to recognize my webtag template - I use the '.tpl' extension for the unprocessed template and the '.php' extension once the template has been processed. So, to get the Toolbox to recognize my webtag template I use the complete ...

Re: cumulus through weatherlinkip 6555
May I suggest something else... Write directly to the support department of Davis Instruments (in California, USA) - that would have been my first step, to contact Davis Instruments and find out what could be the problem (they have the knowledgeable people) ... then, I would have placed a message in...

Re: cumulus through weatherlinkip 6555
May I 'strongly' suggest that you deactivate the upload to 'weatherlink.com' ... unless you really care about putting your data on the Davis Instruments web site. Let me explain... The primary function of the WeatherLink IP adapter (by its electronic design) is to upload the data from the weather st...

Re: cumulus through weatherlinkip 6555
It appears the IP address of the WeatherLink IP adapter has changed - unless you have made some modifications to the internal settings of the WeatherLink IP adapter, a new IP address will be assigned by the router. Unfortunately, after many tries, I cannot access the WeatherLink IP on my internal ne...

Re: JavaScript 'Viewer' of Cumulus generated NOAA style repo
Glenn, the only problem I can see with your page is that the display of the report is too large (width wise) for the space available within the white portion of the page - you might have to adjust some of the CSS properties (unfortunately, I cannot guide you on that 'adventure' as I do not use the '...

Re: Cumulus Weather Console
Arthur, I am not too sure what you were writing about... I just had a look at the original 'wconsole.js' script and, by default, it is looking for the 'realtime.txt in the same directory where the 'wconsole.html' and 'wconsole.js' are running from - there is certainly no mention nor no need for a UR...

Re: New WunderMap!
Ron, when I look at the map for your station, I noticed no relief for the area selected ... until I zoomed out ... then I started noticing some relief to the north west of Roanoke/Charlottesville, until I was able to view the 'Shenandoa National Park', the 'George Washington National Forest', just t...

Re: New WunderMap!
Has anybody seen the new WunderMap on Weather Underground? I think it looks great! I like the slider at the bottom where you can customize the time length so you can watch the weather station icons shift around in the different wind directions! Will, I cannot remember when that map was introduced b...

Re: Lightning Strike damage to VP2- but it recovered!
Gordon, more likely, since you bought your weather station in Australia, it had already been modified to meet the required (by the Australian government/Australian Communications and Media Authority) transmitting/receiving frequency - thus, a replacement ISS SIM board (the transmitting unit) must ha...

Re: Lightning Strike damage to VP2- but it recovered!
Gordon, more likely the ISS SIM board has been damaged - or one (or more) of its components destroyed. If the ISS SIM board has indeed been damaged, you have two options: Getting a new replacement board (with the required frequency for Australia) or contacting Davis Instruments (in the USA) and chec...

Karl, is this what you are looking for: [link removed] - the graphic charts are created from data uploaded to Weather Underground. The graphic charts can also be produced from data saved into a database.

Re: Realtime and mysql download available.
Mark, I am somewhat disappointed in the latest modifications and release of the 'ImportCumulusFile' script: - syntax error, unexpected '{' in ImportCumulusFile.php on line 195 - syntax error, unexpected '{' in ImportCumulusFile.php on line 197 Then, once those two two lines have been corrected: - Un...
