Re: RaspberryPi: CumulusMX init.d System Startup Script

Hello Novy, I am not sure, but when I read all your posts, it looks like, that you did not fully understood some things. When you start with linux, it is much more complicated then Windows....so let me give you a summary. You installed CumulusMX and it is working when you start it manually. you have...

Re: RaspberryPi: CumulusMX init.d System Startup Script

I found something strange :groan: in the code of cumulusmx.sh which prevented the /etc/init.d/cumulusmx startup script to start cumulusmx.sh successfully, if the CumulusMX folder was installed on a USB Stick/External Drive. :ugeek: I can not explain, but a command failed for any reason when CumulusM...

Re: RaspberryPi: CumulusMX init.d System Startup Script

[I believe running 'update-rc.d cumulusmx defaults', then running 'update-rc.d cumulusmx enable' solved that issue. OKay, this makes sense and I am gladf to hear that there was one person who solved the problem this way. I am not 100% but I have also the feeling that form time to time the ownership...

Re: Installation auf raspberry

Hello jan, I still have a problem. This is not so important, but not nice: as title text is displayed with me "wetterstation engelrod weather". By editing "indexT.htm" and other template files, I could delete the word "weather". Unfortunately I do not succeed in "gauges". The title I want (without ...

Re: RaspberryPi: CumulusMX init.d System Startup Script

Hello Richard I am not 100% sure, but from time to time, I am also unsure, if soemthing has changed the ownership of one file. I thought I am 100% that I run CumulusMX as user pi, but weeks later, when I am trying to restart, it says that some files have changed the ownership. I am sure, you know th...

Re: RaspberryPi script to display weatherstation values via ssh

Very nice script, and can confirm it works on linux ubuntu, with small modification -- path to Cumulus and cpu temp (since this is not a pi) Did see one error in ver 1.6 line 21 if [ -f $INSTPATH/graphconfig.json ]; then change it to if [ -f $INSTPATH/web/graphconfig.json ]; then and it worked. Tha...

Re: RaspberryPi: CumulusMX init.d System Startup Script

Today, after more then 200 days uptime, a network outage caused my Raspberry Pi to hang so I needed to reboot and once it came up again, the CumulusMX was not started by the init.d script. After some minutes I found out, that the /etc/init.d/cumulusmx was set to run as user pi CumulusMX_USER=pi but ...

Re: Installation auf raspberry

Cumulusnow.sh is looking for graphconfig.json in the CumulusMX directory. It is however in the directory CumulusMX / web. After changing the lines No. 21,22,23,24 in cumulusnow.sh TEMP = $ (cat $ INSTPATH / web / graphconfig.json | cut -d "\" "-f 6) WIND = $ (cat $ INSTPATH / web / graphconfig.json...

Re: Installation auf raspberry

Hello Dieter I fear, that there is only one version of CumulusMX and it is english. I also think, that the file graphconfig.json (which is not in the installation zip file by default) is being generated when you successfully save the Config the first time. I would suggest the following (and this is ...
