ISP has 'UPGRADED' hosting - FTP no longer works
My ISP (123) recently moved their hosting and 'upgraded' their offering. After a bit of 'to-ing and fro-ing' with their support I have now figured out the FTP connection and can get files to the correct folder. I am now having problems with being able to upload viable files, there seems to be an iss...

Re: Cannot view updated pages - after house move
Hi paul I'm totally confused now. I have changed nothing on the MX upload pathing. If I look at the files on the FTP site they are what I would expect - dates and times are current. If I browse to www.geoffwebber.co.uk/weather/realtime.txt The data starts with this... 22/01/21 10:06:54 If I download...

Cannot view updated pages - after house move
This is a browser issuse I am sure. I hove moved house and relocated my WS. Obviously there was some downtime during the move. Whilst my site was down I put up a temporary index page to indicate what was going on. My WS is now ip and running and MX is uploading curent files (I have viewed them in Fi...

page update limit - zero setting doesnt seem to work.
A long time ago my SS gauges used to display permanently, then more recently (a year or so ago) I set the pageUpdateLimit to 30. Having got fed up with that I changed it back to 0 yesterday. See script below. Oddly my gauges are still timing out. Does this value get referenced anywhere else before g...

Re: auto install
In your Windows 10, clicking on the download zip for MX will unzip the contents, and each file will go into its correct place. That is why the installation is simple. If as water01 suggests you unzip where your Cumulus 1 exe is currently, then your data folder, your Cumulus.ini and other files will...

Re: Build 3088 - SFTP issues
The other thing is that you are forcing the console to send the entire logger contents on start-up because the console log interval is set to 30 minutes, and MX is using 5 minutes. Hmm, I didnt know I was doing that. Secondly I cant even find a setting where I can change that. It was not a consciou...

Hi Mark
Excellent, thanks
as a side note, I checked the connectivity of my FTP server whilst MX was having issues, and got in fine.

Build 3088 - SFTP issues
MX b3088 running on W10 laptop I have just updated this instance from 3072 - which was running fairly reliably. I have been updating another installation of a friends laptop running ubuntu/Mono and a WLL. After a lot of help from Mark this is now running fine for days on end. Yesterday I updated my ...

Re: 3088 other new files
sfws wrote For most people I would advise against using the dayfile and standard monthly log file editors if you are using 3.6.12 (b. 3088) as you may see an error message, because of inconsistency with incomplete work in progress! Is this the error referred to above? DataTables warning: table id=da...

Re: realtime.txt update periodically fails
Hi I am not so sure lengthening the repeat time has that much of an effect. If you push it out too far you begin to lose the sense of the meaning of 'realtime' I manage two separate systems (mine and a friends) the latter via remote connections. We have almost identical set ups, with the exception I...

Re: Build 3083 - SFTP error then crash
Hi Now have stop - usual reason. Uploading - gauges-ssT.htm - stopped, I got confused by the filename, I was looking at the resultant file on the remote site, missed the T attribute - duh! Debug log attached. What confuses me is that the other files all get uploaded with no issues - they use SFTP as...
