Re: Humidity.

1500 - humidity 15%! Changed channel on ISS to 4, from 1 (default). Changing channel on the ISS is easy. Changing channel/station on the console is fickle. It took a few times to take and state it is receiving from station 4, as it kept reverting back to 1. Finally it accepted the change to 4, and i...

Re: Admitting defeat

OK, light bulb comes on! :bash: "Invalid SshftpAuthentication specified []" - that error message is generated by CMX if the value it is reading from the Cumulus.ini file does not match one of the three values it is expecting. It puts the value found inside the []. In your case it is blank...

Re: Admitting defeat

Apologies, I meant winscp.com (I called the batch file sftp!).

Advanced settings? Mark - I'm trying each of the three available under Internet settings/Web ftp site.

Re: Humidity.

07:15 Outside conditions damp/wet. 1.2mm rain in last hour.

Air 5.4C
Dew -2.9C
Humidity 55%

I'll fix up a mercury in glass thermometer as a wet bulb, to check, but it looks like the new unit is faulty.

Re: Admitting defeat

Response from Host We only support FTPES (FTP with explicit SSL/TLS encryption) connections. For these the client connects using the standard FTP ports, then issues a comment to switch to a secure connection before authentication takes place. This is different from FTPS, where the client initially c...

Re: Admitting defeat

I'm using the default ports given in MX. FZ doesn't fill in the port number when I manually transfer files. It stipulates explicit FTP over TLS if available. There's nothing specific on the host docs, other than the explicit FTP as above. I suspect they may have blocked me for some reason, especiall...

Re: Admitting defeat

Looks like a call to the host...From MX logs....

0-FTP Plain - "Cleartext sessions not allowed"

1-FTPS - "No connection can be made, target refused"

2-SFTP - "Invalid Sshftp Authorisation"

Re: Admitting defeat

Looks suspiciously like it's to do with which FTP setting is acceptable to the host. Option 1 is rejected by the server and yet it's in their own documentation as being acceptable. ( Shame the MX logging doesn't indicate which of the FTP settings is being used.... ) Will have to dig deeper and try e...

Re: Admitting defeat

Ah.

Commented too soon the 'realtime....' files are not updating.

I can copy to a local folder, so that tests out OK.

Only thing to double check is the ftp protocol required at the server. I have been using 0 - FTP (plain old FTP).

Mind, a quick test using the other two options didn't succeed....!

Re: Admitting defeat

OK if you are using the standard website have you ticked "I want to use the supplied default web site" in Internet Settings / Web/FTP Site / Interval Configuration (don't forget to scroll down to the bottom and Save Settings!!) ? That should set everything required. Also a URL of your web...

Re: Humidity.

New one could be contaminated, aye, that's what Prodata said. It has, since, slowly risen - currently 93% - hope it was just an acclimatisation issue. I've noticed some of the plastic on the unit is fragile. Parts of the shelter door are breaking off when I touch it - new one ordered, just hope the ...

Admitting defeat

I have had, for a long while a custom version website that was generated from Cumulus. Since last weekend I have gradually moved across lock stock and wotsit to MX - having run them side by side for a long while. I am starting, effectively from scratch again - brain cells somewhat less clear than on...
