Re: Connection closed error

Hi Paul, I have CumulusMX 3050 working without the "Connection closed" error and with all my old data! It is running Raspbian Buster on a Pi 3 B+. Next to try a Pi zero W as I need the Pi3 for something else. I'll report back.

Thanks for your support,
Dave

Re: Connection closed error

No problem. I've followed the install instructions by ExperiMentor viewtopic.php?f=27&t=16931 and I seem to have a working system. What files do I need to copy over from my old system? I've done /data /web /webfiles /interface and Cumulus.ini

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Connection closed error

Thanks Paul.

I thought I'd go the whole hog and update to Buster. I've read that there is a bit of a problem with getting the correct version of Mono to work with Cumulus.

What are your recommendations?

Dave

Re: Connection closed error

Hi David, thanks for your response. The Pi Zero is used for Cumulus only. "top" shows the load average is around 0.15 to 0.2. CPU is running at 10%. I'm not familiar with Linux but doing a few searches pointed me to netstat. Looks like port 8998 is open on the Pi pi@pi_zero:~ $ sudo netsta...

Connection closed error

I'm running Cumulus MX 3.0.0 b3043 on a Pi Zero. Sometimes when I connect to Cumulus from my laptop with http://192.168.1.94:8998/index.html the page never loads. Sometimes I get a small box with Connection closed, sometimes nothing at all just the spinny wheel. If I leave the page trying to connect...

Re: MX keeps stopping uploading to website

I put a powered hub in yesterday but it failed again overnight. Do you think there is any point in getting a "better" USB cable or fitting a couple of ferrite chokes?

I have a Pi Zero W on order so I'll do a new installation on that and report back.

Re: MX keeps stopping uploading to website

Great view :)

I have one of these which I put in the line last night. As far as I could tell, no power was coming out of the USB port to feed the console.

I have the USB power meter as one of my other RPis has an RTL-SDR dongle which does consume a lot of power from the USB port.

Re: MX keeps stopping uploading to website

Hi Steve, Thanks for your reply. I'm not using a powered hub but I do have one somewhere. I'd worked out the problem was something to do with the USB port but hoped it was something obvious. I think this is a different Pi that the WMR928 was attached to but I may be wrong. It happened again this mor...

MX keeps stopping uploading to website

I installed MX some while ago on a Pi 2 with an Oregon Scientific WMR 928 console. MX would occasionally just stop updating the website and the MX console would not load in Firefox. I could still get to the Pi with PuTTY so I just did a restart. The WMR 928 was pensioned off in March and was replace...

Re: Data not uploading.

Sorry for hijacking this thread but is there anything special required to get a Pi zero w to run Cumulus MX? I already have it running on a Pi 2 but want to swap it to Zero W.

Can I just pop the card from the Pi 2 into the Pi Zero?
Thanks

Re: Amazing con trail

The guys at Metabunk would like to know of any more sightings of this particular event as they are quite rare. Did any of you see it? What about on your webcams? Sunday 12th April between say 10:00 and 12:00 BST. The trail was West to East and should have been visible 25 miles of a line drawn from t...

Amazing con trail

I wandered into the garden this morning and looked up and saw this !! Some sort of wind shear? By the time I'd gone indoors and got the camera out the trail had begun to disperse. From my house the trail continued to squiggle for miles. I sat with the camera at the ready for another hour but saw not...

Re: WMR928 Anemometer transmitter

Hi Laurent, I too have a WMR928 but my rain gauge has packed up. Similar to yours, the red light is on all the time. I think the light should only flash when it is transmitting data. Did you find a specific thing wrong or was it just a general clean up & replace the RJ12 that worked? Alkaline ba...
