Re: Meteotemplate

MT can be updated as often as the user wants, some use 3s, it is only a problem if your server supports cron jobs in minutely intervals.

Re: CumulusMX and Meteotemplate API

Correct, because they use all data from realtime, MT uses its own database and calculates things by itself, which also has many advantages. I could argue that it is not an issue with other SW, but I dont want to argue with you. Because MT works differently compared to the other templates, it needs d...

Re: CumulusMX and Meteotemplate API

This is not an issue with other SW, Tony please avoid making conclusions without fully understanding how this works. Wind gust works fine with the other SW which directly support the API (MB, WD etc.) because they send aggregated values. Eg: If user sets update interval to 1 minute, then these progr...

Re: Lack of updates

Hi Steve, I completely understand your reasons and all I can say is that I hope you enjoy your new life-style (just out of curiosity, which island are you moving to?). I also totally understand your worries with regards to making the code available. I have the same dilemma. Many people asked about w...

Re: Create/Cleanup Monthly Log Files

Hi guys, I looked at Sperry´s files previously too. The problem is that Meteotemplate import script can also filter out obvious nonsense, but in this case this won´t work because for example, the one Sperry sent me had a max of 91 instead of 95, which obviously is both realistic and there is absolut...

Meteotemplate Sticker - stand-alone for all Cumulus users

Hi guys, because I received several questions about this, I decided to rewrite the code for the Stickers Meteotemplate to make it work as a stand-alone script. This means you DO NOT have to use Meteotemplate to use it , all that you need is to have the realtime.txt periodically uploaded to your serv...

Re: Impressive template from Jachym for Cumulus

I will look at it, but I can already tell you now that it is very likely this "gauges" page will be compltely redesigned in some upcoming update. It is actually the one I am least satisfied with, not only in terms of the design, but also how often and how the data is fetched.

Re: Impressive template from Jachym for Cumulus

Yes, it is. :) I finally worked it out. I take readings from Cumulus every 60 seconds, so my log files reflect that frequency. On average they are over 40,000 lines long. I truncated one log to 50 lines or so, then imported that into Meteo. It worked perfectly. I then reasoned that I might not have...

Re: Getting data from Cumulus to PHP

Thank you all guys,

I finally managed to get it working by using the external program execution built-in to Cumulus and using the wget program to trigger the update. Works like a charm :-)

Re: Getting data from Cumulus to PHP

Hi, thanks a lot for your quick reply. I think the best way would be to have a PHP file that would be on the server and it would just contain instructions to look for realtime.txt and get data from it and save it to mySQL. In fact I already have such a script for Weather Display, the only catch is t...
