Re: Suddenly raintotals for this month appear 0

I found out what happened. The message I received was today, however actually they sent me the message quite late. :-) I had changed from Dutch locale to English Locale, and this means that the log-files also change in language and format. Therefore the data changed as well and the totals were off a...

Suddenly raintotals for this month appear 0

Hello, Unfortunately something strange happened. According to a website I am logging data to, the station today started to report 0mm of rain for the month. However nothing changed in the setup. I received a notification that the data might be incorrect and then updated to CumulusMX 3038. Is is poss...

Re: CumulusMX - Names of date etc

Thanks for the response, it works perfectly. Only now using the . decimal instead of , (Which is part of the UK locale)
But everything in English looks much better.

Configuration of languages and localisation/locales is always something complicated unfortunately.

Re: CumulusMX - Names of date etc

Thanks for your quick reply! I tried the -lang-en_GB tag as well. Then it translates the days, however it complains about the startdate tag in Cumulus.ini. Unfortunately I have got no clue in which format I have to enter that in the Cumulus.ini. At the moment it shows: StartDate=woensdag 27 December...

Re: CumulusMX - Names of date etc

I have changed the locale on the Raspberry to use the Dutch locale. When I try the command locale LC_TIME it shows all names of dates in English. I have changed the locale configuration to the following: /etc/default/locale LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8 LC_MESSAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 LC_TIME=en_GB.UTF-8 Where does Mono ...

CumulusMX - Names of date etc

Dear Weather Enthusiasts! I have successfully converted from Cumulus 1.9 on a Windows Server to a RaspberryPI. With some help from the great people on the forum logically since in *nix I am a beginner. Now I have a question regarding the website date tags used. I saw that the full page was in Englis...

All my records have been corrected and show to right values!

Very happy! The next step will be connecting the datalogger ! :-)

Strange values as records (Imported data from Cumulus 1)

Hello, I have just installed CumulusMX on my Raspberry Pi. I have not yet connected my station. However I have installed Mono 4.0.2.5 as well as the CumulusMX package. I imported my data directory from Cumulus 1 as well as Cumulus.ini from my previous install. The problem I face is that the records ...

Re: Cumulus MX on Rpi 2B

Where did you place the software? If you follow the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS - http://www.pathname.com/fhs/pub/fhs-2.3.html ) then you would probably place the software in /opt, and have symbolic links to the /etc filesystem for configuration data (namely Cumulus.ini), and symbolic links ...

Re: Cumulus MX on Rpi 2B

Thanks! For sure I have an USB stick lying around, so I will install it on a nice USB Stick.
The idea of separating OS and software is always nice! What I did as well on the Windows machines.

The only thing I do not know about is Jans Script, where is that the stop start script?

    Thanks again!

    Cumulus MX on Rpi 2B

Hello Everybody, I am currently experimenting to step over to CumulusMX from Cumulus running on a Windows Server Essentials server. I have downloaded the package and now I do not know in which directory I should place the CumulusMX software. Where did you place the software? Somewhere in usr/local/b...

Re: What screen resolution does your Cumulus PC use?

Using remote desktop, as my Cumulus installation is on a Windows Server 2012 installation. Therefore using these different resolutions: 1680x1050 (Monitor on server), 1920 x 1080 (Fixed PC), 1600 x 900 (Personal Ultrabook) or 1920 x 1080 (Work notebook). What actually would be great is an IOS and Wi...

Great tip, actually the newer loggers come supplied with those ferrite anti distortion pieces. If your cable does not have them, it is possible to add it yourself.

Another option which I used with the faulty firmware was selecting the option: Restart if data stopped option. Then the error "Led" does not appear anymore as well.

Re: Data Input Appears To Have Stopped

    Steve,

With firmware 3.12 the problem is solved! After a night testing I can confirm that there has been no time-out error whatsoever.
Thank you very much for your support!

Now i'll ask the same question Jim asked Davis support when the official release will be.

    Kind Regards,
