Re: Adding extra gauge to a webpage
It will be good to see the gauges used for non-weather purposes. The new library has added a RadialVertical 'East' orientation option as well. Hi Mark I have another non-weather application! I want to use the gauges on a LAN around the windmill, intended to provide real time information about mill ...

Edit data files using Excel
I need to edit out spurious data from a couple of monthly files. Self inflicted error I'm afraid. Altering individual cumulative figures would take an age and risk error. Reading previous posts, I note the warning about editing using Excel, but what I want to do is convert the comma separated data i...

Taking pulses off Fine Offset wind speed sensor on Windmill
I have a Fine Offset running Cumulus. So far, very good! Next, I want to log the pulses from the wind sensor onto a secondary logging system so the wind speed can be recorded (via an arduino) onto an SD card with other concurrent data, particularly, how fast the sweeps are turning on the windmill. T...

Shutdown.exe
Steve
Can I safely use shutdown.exe to close down my PC - will Cumulus respond appropriately or do I risk losing data? I want to do a periodic reboot for other software needs.

Re: Problems with FTP
Blast, of course it is an INI file! Indeed restarting Cumulus fixed both problems.mcrossley wrote:a) No idea.
b) Did you remember to restart Cumulus after editing the ini file, or edit it with Cumulus stopped?
Thanks

Problems with FTP
Due to changes at my server, I have had to alter my Cumulus FTP settings, as a result of which various FTP issues arose. I have fixed all but two... a) while Culumus will successfully upload the realtimegauges.txt file for the Steelseries gauges if it is NOT set to 'realtime', it fails to upload at ...

Re: AWS on Rotating windmill - update and thank you
The vast majority of internet access is on dynamic IP. Fixed IP service costs more if it is even available. Because of this, having your address as part of security is very unusual. Given you are in a fixed location, how often is your address changing? (Site looks great, by the way!) Address changi...

AWS on Rotating windmill - update and thank you
I now have a system running on a windmill (Oldlands Mill near Keymer in Sussex) with thanks to a number of people here for ideas and advice. The sensors are mounted on the mill, which means that as the mill is turned towards the wind a varying deviation is introduced. I have an Arduino and a magneto...

Re: Reducing graphs upload
On the files tab of the internet settings, untick 'include standard images', then list the ones you do want in the boxes below. Note that this is for all images, not just the graphs. If you run out of boxes, you can edit cumulus.ini to add more files, just add more entries starting with 'Extra...' ...

Realtime.log for Highcharts
Thanks to Mark and others for the realtime charts using Highcharts. I am uploading on a data-limited 3g link. The 248 byte realtime.txt is no problem every minute, while a 30kb 120 minute log file is, so I'm uploading that every 15 mins at present. But user has a variable length datagap (upto 15 min...

Re: Steelseries 2.2.1
Hi Mark Think I'll have to build in some diagnostics to test ipad, flushed the cache without success...and now I note it does not auto-refresh so there is more going on...or rather, NOT doing so. This will be a project for Friday at the earliest... Apart from troubling you direct, for future referen...
