Re: Temperature difference with height - Ground VS 7m

Current conditions at my house are about -1.2c @ 7m AGL, around 15mph winds and about 60% humidity
At the ground it is well sheltered and about -2.3c

Temperature difference with height - Ground VS 7m

So I've got a couple of temperature sensors. One on my weather station is at 7m AGL. I've got another sensor that is about 1ft from the ground.

Currently the one at 7m is showing -0.9c, the one at 1ft is showing as -2.4c

Does this sound accurate or is it a problem with the sensors?

Re: Frozen or Freezing anamometer

I used some "dry lube" from my mountain biking days. Its a teflon based lube that I put in the bearings for the anometer. Before I did this I had it freeze many times and sometimes for days on end. If it was a bit misty and the temperature was below freezing the anometer would certainly fr...

Lowest Pressure (sl) 925.9 mb at 19:31 on 10 January 2013 Either you haven't set your barometer correctly for sea-level pressure, or your sensor is faulty, or Cumulus was unable to read the pressure offset when it started up. That figure is almost the same as the lowest pressure ever recorded in th...

Radio activity that day did indicate quite noticeable low pressure

Re: Help with a secondary thermometer

Ah so I won't be able to use it to make a graphic showing the inside, outside and EXTRA temp sensors.
Ho hum. I'll figure something out.

Whatever it is will be neater than me having a webcam pointed at an LCD thermometer!

Re: Help with a secondary thermometer

Thanks for that.

Is there any way I can write to the log file of the extra sensor #1 / #2 etc?

If I set up a script to append the information into one of these fields would that work considering I am using a device that doesn't support additional sensors?

Help with a secondary thermometer

Hi everyone. I've got a cheap maplin wireless station running at the moment and I'd like to utilise cumulus to update a website with a secondary thermometer pretty much like this http://cdn.coolest-gadgets.com/wp-content/uploads/usb-thermometer.jpg I'm not sure if it is possible using the additional...
