Re: Poll on which Cumulus version is being used
As others have said, the poll on here will be very, very heavily biased towards new users and those of a more "techy nature".I consider myself part of the latter despite being 72 (although of course my generation founded the home PC era :D ) I have helped set up four other users many years...

Re: Year 2021 Missing on drop down menu
Found the problem. The new .exe file had been put in a Cumulus sub folder rather than just within the root directory. I should have spotted it straight away. It now runs fine. Sorry to have troubled you and thank you so much for writing the patch.

Re: Year 2021 Missing on drop down menu
Yes I follow that. I am unzipping the patch and then replacing the .exe file in my Cumulus Program folder with the patch .exe file then running hthat from that folder. This brings up the missing Vantage Pro.dll message.

Re: Year 2021 Missing on drop down menu
Sorry Freddie but don't quite follow. Do I need to put that Vantage Pro.dll file in even though I am running a Fine Offset weather station to get the patch .exe file to work?

Re: Year 2021 Missing on drop down menu
Is there a patch for Fine Offset machines? I get the message Vantage Pro .DLL file missing when I run it as a replaced exe.file from inside the Cumulus folde. This message would be expected if not running a Vantage Pro?

Re: Maplin in administration - where to buy spare parts now?
My Fine Offset is now over 12 years old. It is a complete hybrid of new sensors, console and other parts although I have never had any problems with the console. Having always had about three spares for each I am on my last temperature sensor which is getting very flakey. The beauty of this machine ...

Re: Two websites from one Cumulus program
Thanks again for the support and comments Paul. I have toyed with using MX version but use "Select a graph
View period" extensively and would miss them. Why are they not in the new version?

Re: Two websites from one Cumulus program
Thank you Paul. That is most helpful. I should be able to follow that ok, might take a while as I seem to be a bit slower on the uptake since turning 70! My website, which Is based on Cumulus 1 and a Fine Offset Watson, I pretty much built myself. Getting a bit long in the tooth now (me, the website...

Re: Two websites from one Cumulus program
Thanks, but how did you do it? i.e USB to PC then run more than one Cumulus program on the same PC with different configs and FTP uploads?
Edit - apologies just found the cumulus utilities you mentioned which looks like the answer but will have to read up on.

Two websites from one Cumulus program
This might seem like an odd question but I want to set up a new website in parallel with the existing one using just one console (Watson) and the same set of Cumulus data. Is this possible?

Temperature sensor separate from wind vane?
I have an old Watson model that i have kept going for more than ten years now. The temperature sensor is playing up a bit so I am looking at options. I have the current one in a Stevenson's screen and would like to carry on doing do. Is it possible with the new wireless models to separate the temper...

Re: Site going down.
Glad you’re sorted. If anyone else wants to join HostPresto can you PM me first as they’ll give me a couple of months free hosting for signing others up. Hi Ray - have you just had an email saying they are upgrading their server to support only more recent versions of PHP. If so do you know what im...

Re: Site going down.
I don't pay for backup service, you still get them free by default as part of cpanel. The extra charge is for automatic backups - useful if you're running a big forum or something similar. I usually perform a manual backup once a month just in case something happens, but I do have quite a few sql da...

Re: Site going down.
Hi Ray, that provider looks pretty good compared to what I've seen so far. Did you go for the starter at £24? Dave Hi Dave, yes I did. If you have a standard Cumulus1 setup your requirements are tiny. Support is great. They sorted out a PHP problem in a few minutes. Thanks Ray. I'm okay because my ...
