Finally fixed my FO locking-up problems (after numerous attempts). Took it back to Maplin and got my money back. Now have a Davis Vantage Vue.
The FO beat me into submission.

Re: Problems with station communication: USB locks up comple
Finally, looking at advice on this forum, I bought a fully shielded USB cable (Male A to Male A) from Maplin (£9), plugged it in and restarted everything. That was about 10 days ago now and so far the problems HAVE NOT RECURRED (he said, touching the wood of his desk). Do you have a link for that c...

Re: Problems with station communication: USB locks up comple
I recently acquired my Fine Offset from Maplin (special offer £60 at beginning of October '12) and have had all of the problems mentioned in this topic, with frequent loss of contact between my laptop and the base unit, and between the base unit and the sensors. Re: Mobile Minisite - Any interest?
Hello again
You can have a look at the minisite by visiting:
www.waltonweather.co.uk
There is a redirection page that should take you to my weather site. If your device has a screen less than 800 pixels wide then you should be shown the mobile version.
Cheers
Sandy

In the 'web' subfolder of the site: m-annualT.htm - this month's and this year's data m-consoleT.htm - the 'live' page that uses the D...

Mobile Minisite - Any interest?
Hello I've been creating (cobbling together) some webpages to display Cumulus data on a mobile device. They are roughly in the style of cumulus and usually fit on the screen of a mobile phone. The pages are pretty much hacks of the original Cumulus ones and are therefore more or less completely in h...
