Re: CumulusMX on a Synology NAS

You might be better off running a vm on the NAS and using Ubuntu or something. I have found that some things just don't run right on their version of linux.

Re: Anyone else having issues uploading to wunderground?

Thanks for the suggestion. I enabled debug and everything rolled over at midnight like it should of course. I will leave it on for a few days and see what happens.

Anyone else having issues uploading to wunderground?

For the last few days my WU upload stops at 23:55 and requires me to restart Cumulus to get it going again. I am also uploading to CWOP and that is working fine.

Re: Windows 2012R2 Server

Not a big deal, but Cumulus detects my windows install as: Windows Server 8 Tablet PC x64 build 9200

Where it is actually:
OS Name: Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard
OS Version: 6.3.9600 N/A Build 9600

Re: Beta 1.9.4 #1067 - VP2 transmission stats

I've been on 1068 for about 24 hours now. My good packets have been solid between 99.2% to 99.4%. Maybe 0.1% down from ver. 1.9.3.

Re: Ipad Cumulus

The only app that I found that works with Cumulus on IOS is Under the Weather. Its not a bad app, but only has a fraction of the functionality that the Android app has.

Re: Beta 1.9.4 #1067 - VP2 transmission stats

Is there a tag that comes up with this? "Percentage of good packets received"

Or are you doing a calculation somewhere?

Re: Client viewer

Right it does have its own install/data files, however everytime I start it downloads all the recent data from the data logger, so it is pretty up to date, especially if you use it often.

The only disadvantage is if you don't use it every couple of days, it can take a bit to download all the data.

Re: Client viewer

Another option is to run Virtual VP. You can then have the weather station listen on a tcp port and you can setup cumulus on your client computer to connect on your servers's IP/Port. My Davis is connected to com 1, VVP then redirects the traffic to ports 5511 to 5514. Locally I have Cumulus, wdispl...

Re: Weather Data Overlay onto CCTV

If your site is running on a linux system, you can also overlay next with image ImageMagick and pull the temp/windspeed out of realtime.txt
