Re: Top 10 Records Page

Please note that I have stopped monitoring the forum (and PMs), because I am extremely busy preparing for moving out of this home, and after approximately ten years of collecting weather station statistics at this location I expect to be ceasing soon. I have probably done all the web page designing ...

Re: .htaccess missing. How to find it?

One more minor point Ray On your home page (line 258 or so) <image src='http://api.sat24.com should be <img src='http://api.sat24.com @freddie When I checked before composing my previous post, the day night image which uses PHP was working on his home page http://www.cheadlehulmeweather.co.uk/index....

Re: .htaccess missing. How to find it?

Ray Maybe .htaccess was outside the was "www" structure because you don't want it to be visible to your users, and now needs to be outside the "public_html" or "www" or whatever on new server. I'm guessing you did a FTF of only what was within that structure? If so, you can FTF from Steve's server a...

Downloads

Steve I note your replacement downloads page is still on sandaysoft.com server, and includes Cumulus 1 but does not directly offer MX download. Obviously I have copies of the Cumulus 1 download I use and the MX download (in case I ever decide to swap), so this post is not for my benefit. But your I ...

Re: Error log dayfile.txt

Re: "create missing" in dayfile.txt is not working

Any thoughts? Presumably it is not the simple answer that the day (or days) missing in your dayfile is (are) also missing in the detailed log file? Even Cumulus cannot work the miracle of adding a day when there is nothing in log files. (Also I presume when you moved from Cumulus 1 to Cumulus MX, y...

Thank you, Steve for 15 years of support

I am sure lots of people will want to record their thanks that Steve back in summer 2003 decided to share the software he was developing for his weather station in Wanlockhead. We all appreciate the huge amount of his time devoted to developing Cumulus 1, 2, and 3 in turn, and coping with the vast r...

Re: Comparing with one year ago

I meant just remove Gentle breeze and leave the f3 ... Ps have u got a website? I understood fully what you meant, and provided code change to do exactly that in my last reply. You will see earlier in this thread some discussion about the shorter or longer format of exactly that part of the display...

Re: Comparing with one year ago

take a look, if u can see any errors can u point them out The "Temperature Average" line has used syntax for time-stamp instead of syntax for value cell - remove "at " before figure, add units after figure (copy "Temperature Range" row). Otherwise looks good. (F3=Gentle breeze) is taking up to...

Re: New Record? Post here.

I noticed my system with 10 years of data is showing a few new records for this Sep and Oct.
(The two web pages were edited at different times and use slightly different ways of indicating records).

Re: Comparing with one year ago

The shorter format is only available if the only instruction within the PHP script section within the HTMl is an echo. This bit of php <?php $return = calculateBeaufort($required_fields[17],'<#windunit>'); echo "$return"; ?>) has an instruction that is not an echo followed by an echo, so that combin...

Re: Comparing with one year ago

It was a decade ago, after leaving paid work, while acting as a full time carer for my late mum that I first taught myself HTML to pass the time between carer duties. Looking back, it was a miserable time coping with her terminal illness, but I did feel better for learning that skill and I have foun...

Re: Comparing with one year ago

To repeat my previous answer explicitly, so you can copy and paste: You currently have missed out the class in the opening tag "<td>" and you have also missed out the closing tag "</td>" for the two extra table cells you have added to the end of the table row. <td> <?php echo "$required_fields[4]";?...

Re: Comparing with one year ago

Simple, look at your HTML code your PHP script produces. <tr class="table_two"> <td class="table_two">Low Temperature</td> <td class="table_two">8.2 °C</td> <td class="table_two">at 07:04</td> <td class="table_two">9.8 °C</td> <td class="table_two">at 23:57</td> <t...
