the monthly log file editor, which uses it to find the first log file to start reading from.
Thank you for clarifying this difference between the two Cumulus flavours. I have added a mention of this in Wiki on the MX page, but not yet updated the Cumulus.ini page.

Apparently it is an issue in datatables.min.js. Personally I don't have the problem anywhere, not in FF, Opera nor Chrome. I would assume some version problem in that library. Thank you Hans. That has resolved my problem. When I did my original downloading of 3069, I did notice MX interface was usi...

RESOLVED - Build 3070 - user interface Data Logs menu

After my "build 3069" post experience I have included the developer web console in this screen shot dayfile.PNG The problem, if you have not guessed it, is that none of the items within the Data Logs menu actually display file contents. The others display "Select month" , a drop down, and the "Load"...

Re: v3043 to v3070

weird thing I have nothing in my original Reports folder, but have Jan and Feb noaa reports in this new one That leads me to guessing that your new installation, Steve, had defaults for NOAA settings that MX recognises, whilst your old installation lacked those settings or used format not recognise...

I picked my birth year!
Ahh - they are seeking help with 1910s and 1920s at present, that is before even I was born.
Mind you, the frequency my broadband goes down this month, pigeon post instead of technology could give a better life.

Re: Watson W-8691

for outdoor temp and humidity. It's the temp and pressure that are not. I think you got it right first time, but wrong when you attempted to repeat yourself, after David read your original post wrongly. Your daughter needs a maximum/minimum thermometer and a hygrometer and being able to record thes...

Re: v3043 to v3070

is there a way to copy the necessary bits, data etc over into the latest version Yes, copy the entire contents of CumulusMX/data on your old drive into same directory on new drive. Then do same thing with Reports folder. Normally, one would copy Cumulus.ini as well so the new installation uses same...

Re: Cumulusutils

Hans, with you and BCJKiwi both working on new standard web sites, people are going to be spoilt for choice in future. That is good. (Only possible bad aspect, this is all making my ancient web pages seem both very dull and very messy! Here is my current conditions page using large fonts to make num...

Re: <#rollovertime>

Thank you so much. You can't get to that via "Settings", but in Control Panel -> Region -> Additional, I found it and changed it. Now I can remove all my PHP snippets to change format and get my old look back. Thank you again.

Re: <#rollovertime>

Correct it only offers capitals in the drop-downs, but you can type whatever you want in the field. I only asked you because W10 does NOT allow me to type anything in the field either my limited access user, or my administrative user, any typing just selects an item in drop down or is ignored if th...

Re: Questions about Date various derivatives applied to

Thank you very much, Freddie. it is quite late and I'm a bit tired I read your post at that time, I seem to be waking at dawn and going to bed very late practically every day without feeling tired. 0900-0900 Maximum temperature (attributed to day 1) 0900-0900 Minimum temperature (attributed to day 2...

Re: Mac OS and mono routine

You can force Cumulus MX to use a different locale from your current user/system, you add a parameter to the command line, I forgot about that MX language parameter when I did my previous answer, thanks Mark for mentioning that. I have added it to Wiki MX page. if want to export my data to excel fo...

Re: Yet Another Dayfile Reader (PHP)

David has got it right, the web server created by the MX engine is very basic. Much more sophisticated web servers are needed to cope with potential complexity of PHP (and databases). In theory, you can do it the other way round, I imagine you could run the MX user interface on another web server, b...

Re: Old Archive Data

Just a thought, both flavours of Cumulus are able to change rollover time from 9am GMT to 10am BST, so Cumulus obviously knows DST has begun. Could that fact allow Cumulus to adapt to problems like this one? I did notice that some of TV people talked about clocks going forward at 1 am to 2pm, others...

Re: Adjusting barometric pressure

I don't use a Davis, but I have found this on Wiki This parameter (attribute=value) is added directly to the file, it does not appear on a configuration screen. Davis stations calculate Sea Level Pressure from Station Pressure using a formula based on several parameters such as temperature, humidity...
