Re: Old Cumulus user, new Davis user

Check out the AUS radio communications regulations. Most of these frequencies have been rationalised around the world. Here in NZ we were unable to use the US Davis kit without infringing the frequency range but that all changed a few years ago with the rationalisation and we can now legally use the...

Re: HostPresto changing PHP from 5.6 to 7.2 - will this stop scripts working?

Umm.. beteljuices datasummary package?? I referenced satatogaWX's post and the changes he advised to betel_readDayfile.php, and I advised the version (October) that was already updated. It seems you are running an earlier version (September) than the current version (October) that I advised in my la...

Re: HostPresto changing PHP from 5.6 to 7.2 - will this stop scripts working?

The changes SaratogaWX advised are already in the version I have (7.1 October 2018).

So if you have the latest then you should be OK.

Re: HostPresto changing PHP from 5.6 to 7.2 - will this stop scripts working?

@ Ray Don't know which version of Beteljuice's Datasummary script you are using but the curent one works fine in PHP 5.x and 7.2.x (currently on 7.2.10-dev server & 7.2.9- public server) I know, I have tested it extensively in multiple versions of 7.2 and with multiple browsers. There are some varia...

Re: PHP code in Cumulus index.htm (indexT.htm)

You can rename the standard files. Option 1 In CumulusMX Settings / Internet Settings / Web/FTP settings, turn OFF (un-tick) include standard files. Then, In Extra Webfiles, set up the local filename with the htm as it is in the web folder after processing and Remote filename with the destination ad...

Re: A few brave testers wanted please

Yes, there is a 'px' being added by the "configurator" on the the testing site so you end up with 75pxpx. However there is no px in the file in the recent download link in beteljuice's post two before this so this has been resolved? At the end of the javascript (in the help.txt file generated by the...

Re: New Cumulus Home

All the way from New Zealand:-
I have changed the url to;
https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk
and that works fine.

Just tried the old url which was slow when the site was first changed over but now it is the same speed as the new url.

However the odd menu item here and there is slow when in logged in.

Re: Yet Another Dayfile Reader (PHP)

The only diference between the two (apart from the threshold setting) is that one is CumulusMX and the other Cumulus(1) All systems settings are otherwise the same including Lat/long etc. MX chart shows a theoretical max of 1059 W/M 2 (@ 13:05) which is the max for the day. While the Cumulus(1) char...

Re: Yet Another Dayfile Reader (PHP)

Steve. - Sun Threshold does affect the count of sunshine hours. As promised have run the comparison BUT, did not get what I expected on two counts:- 1. The numbers were different (where peviously they were the same). 2. They were the opposite to what might be expected. Settings:- CumulusMX - Envoy,...

Re: Yet Another Dayfile Reader (PHP)

Not been monitoring the forum for a day ot two. @ beteljuice - sent you a PM. @ Steve I thought I had tested this fully but will re-test - will take a day or two to see the results. Have two separate PCs with Cumulus installed on two separate consoles off same ISS. Changed the threshold in one and w...

Re: VP2 status

There is a change to the Rain tipping bucket on the way. The current system uses a two sided tilting bucket system - very traditional and widely used. However Davis is relesing a single spoon system (similar to the system they have used in the VUE since it's inception). One of these new systems was ...

Re: Yet Another Dayfile Reader (PHP)

If your dayfile.txt is in the same folder as betel_readDayfile.php
Change:-
$dayfile = 'data/dayfile.txt'; // to work correctly this should be a relative address NOT full url
to
$dayfile = 'dayfile.txt'; // to work correctly this should be a relative address NOT full url

Re: Annual Data Summary update failure

He has 2 separate computers, one instance of cumulus1 in each. The 'good' one is the system that has been in use for years. The issue is the 'new' test system is uploading when it shouldn't be, and is sending the problem dayflie which overwrites the good one on the webserver. He has not yet found wh...

Re: Customising which lines are displayed on graphs for Cumulus MX

Have
settings / station / settings / graphs / graph hours set to 51
and
settings / station / settings / graphs / graph days set to 32

Both work fine and as far as I recall always have.
