Re: Realtime gauges v1.0.0.3 available for download

Heh, okay, I guess I should have been less specific. I'm *really* mostly interested in the parser. I assume you're reading realtime.txt and parsing into a class?

Re: Realtime gauges v1.0.0.3 available for download

Steve, would you consider providing the source for the Silverlight stuff? I know you're using the Telerik controls for the UI parts, but I'm dabbling in Silverlight (and WPF & Windows Phone 7), and I'm mostly interested in the code that does the data retrieval. I'll deal with the UI aspects sepa...

Teensy (I hope) enhancement request on main screen (v1.91)

On the main data screen, in the "Recent Extremes" block, is there enough room to squish in "Wind Chill" and "Humidex" extremes? Also, the previous 1.90 build I had installed had a somewhat more attractive wind rose, with concentric circles for wind speeds. 1.91 seems to...

Re: Cumulus Realtime Gadget

Outstanding. Being somewhat of a hacker, I decided to poke at the source files that make up the gadget. Didn't take long to figure out that with some minor tweaking of the "blank" background bitmaps, index.html file and gadget.js, I could quickly hack up a version that eliminated the forec...

Re: Cumulus Realtime Gadget

I just stumbled across this new version. Pretty cool, but I have one question (or suggestion): Is there any way to tweak it (or perhaps get an option added later) to *not* show the forecast graphic? I have a *lot* of windows on my desktop showing various statuses (statii?), and this particular gadge...

Re: resizing CumulusRealtime.swf

I may take you up on that offer at a later date. For now I was more curious if there was an end-user way to adjust the size. If I ever decide to play with the Flash development stuff, some working source would be fun. :-)

resizing CumulusRealtime.swf

I don't know much about Flash. Is there a way to "shrink" the CumulusRealtime.swf window when embedding in a page? The current size is 600x300 but I was hoping to make it closer to 400px wide. Unfortunately, trying it the obvious way just results in a large image in a smaller window with s...

Re: realtime.txt

Low priority request, only if you find yourself messing with realtime.txt for some other reason, I'd love to have the equivalents of <#rrateTM> and <#TrrateTM> and maybe <#Tbeaufort> added (though I think I can calculate/lookup the latter via javascript (once I figure out a string-to-number conversi...

Re: realtime.txt

I've been having fun modifying the web pages, including massaging Pinto's Ajax stuff, combining some of TNETWeather's PHP stuff and some of my older stuff into a single page. I have a couple of questions related to the realtime.txt format (I'm using Pinto's reference as a guide): 1) #bearing and #wd...

Re: PHP Script - RealTimeLog PHP Script

Thanks for the Windows Scheduler tip. I *knew* I'd seen that option before, but I so rarely use it I'd forgotten where it was. I appear to be appending properly now.

You're asking the wrong person, but perhaps Kevin will have thoughts on the matter.

Re: PHP Script - RealTimeLog PHP Script

That would be nice, since you already have a timer running. But I wonder if it's not just easier to just generate/append the entire file yourself and eliminate the PHP script need entirely. Just tossing that out as a "perhaps easier" option (probably not, but I mention it anyway). My end g...

Re: PHP Script - RealTimeLog PHP Script

I've been playing with this a bit, so that i could play with the JpGraph stuff. But I'm having a heck of a time finding a suitable mechanism to run .php scripts every minute on a Win2003 server that doesn't involve running what's essentially a DOS program (PHP) in an endless loop and praying that it...
