Re: MX webpage self update

Thanks Steve, your link to Meta_refresh was just what I needed.

David, link to my site below. I'm no programmer, I just fiddle one bit at a time till I get what I want.

MX webpage self update

Little bit confused here about the standard Cumulus MX web page. There is a setting in the control panel under settings - web/ftp for the upload interval. The figure entered here is shown on the web page thus: "The weather station in use is the Fine Offset, and these pages are updated every 2 minute...

Re: CumulusMX - Linux/RasperryPi- Start | Stop | Restart Sc

Slashmusic, just to say thanks for all your efforts. I can now start CumulusMX, log out and switch off the pc. That was the whole point of using the Raspberry Pi!

Re: I wish Cumulus would be LINUX compatible.

Steve, I have happily been using Cumulus for about 2 years now, and have only made one donation. I have just made another small donation. I would be happy for a paid Linux version, whether it be a one off payment up front or an annual licence.

Thank you for all your hard work.

Re: Cumulus and wine/linux?

Sounds a bit too "pre" for me. I'm not that well educated in Linux, would'nt have a clue how to compile a kernel. Look forward to when its a bit more user friendly.

Re: Cumulus and wine/linux?

Steve, I have a WH1080 and a Raspberry Pi sitting waiting for this project. I'd be happy to be a beta tester (or even an alpha tester!) if needed.

Re: New webhost required?

I thought about it, and knew it was only a matter of time. Vidahost gave me a 10% discount to stay and upgrade. When I went to pay for it I found I had some cash in my Paypal account I'd forgotten about... Vidahost: Cumulus never once showed an error. The website loaded much quicker. cPanel has all ...

Re: New webhost required?

An update. I've gone back to E-rice. Seems that E-rice calculate bandwidth only on download, i.e. browsing. Anything uploaded is not counted. They obviously keep prices low by giving only a basic service Vidahost count everything up or down as bandwidth, and my usage was going to exceed the allowanc...

I've ordered "HTML5 in easy steps", and requested notification when Version 5 Javascript in easy steps comes into stock. Might just drop a hint around the family for

Re: How to show image file date and time

Thanks David. The books in the library are all very old and out of date, so some new books it is! Would you recommend http://www.computermanuals.co.uk/scripts/browse.asp?ref=874270&promotion=&x=40&y=9 as a good HTML primer. I've gathered up some cash, so I'm about to order the 1st two you mentioned....

Re: How to show image file date and time

"I managed to get my DCS930L sending images to my PC via FTP. I just had to setup FTP properly on my Cumulus PC. Loads of guides on google how to do this." Had another go at this and got the camera to ftp to my Cumulus pc. I'm now using Fwink to add the date and time to the webcam image, and ftp it ...

Re: New webhost required?

Job done, signed up to Vidahost. Just waiting for all the changes to ripple through. I've had a couple of phone calls to them for advice, they've answered very quickly and helpfully.

Many thanks
