Re: HDD or SD Card for CumulusMX

As others say, I have a similar setup. Mine boots from the best SD card I could afford and then I use a SSD to hold the main partition with the /home etc on, I have as much on it as possible without it interfering with the boot up process. I maintain a backup of the contents of the SD card on a week...

Excellent, always good to hear from someone who has done it more than once lol

Pi to Dell Micro PC with Windows 10

Apart from transferring the data, changing paths, is there anything else I need to do. I am getting a Dell 3050 so I can also run wxsim, well that is the plan

Re: Saving CumulusMX Data Files Other Then SD Card

Like others, I boot from the Sd card and run of a SSD disc. Basically it is a case of coping everything bar the boot files onto the SSD and editing the stab file. There are some good tutorials on the Pi sites on how to do it. I still back my SD card every now and again.

Re: Couple of webtags giving ----

I checked the template and there are several ---- in it. It uses realtimetags as part of the update. Cumulus is showing a lot of 00:00 http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j295/thecivvie/Screenshot%202015-11-23%2014.31.34.png http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j295/thecivvie/Screenshot%202015-11-23%2014...

Stood the test

Steve

I installed 3024 back in April, I then headed off to Mongolia, as one does, for a charity motorbike trip. I returned to Ireland July 11th. Not one bit of data was lost, Pi and Cumulus MX worked perfectly with no input from anyone

Upgraded now. Just letting you know that it is highly stable :D
