Re: Change the drive that Cumulus uses
Now there's the rub; how? I have looked at all the setups but cannot find an option to 'move' the save folder. The only thing I can think of is to uninstall Cumulus and reinstall in the D drive but I am not sure if Cumulus allows for the installation in any other directory (its been a long time sinc...

Change the drive that Cumulus uses
Hi
is it possible to get Cumulus to save files to a drive other than the usual C drive.
I have a netbook with a very small :C drive and a much larger D drive.
Thanks

Brilliant, just what I wanted.laulau wrote:I use a insect repellent spray that also kill them if they are in contact with it.
It should be efficient for three month.
Yes it should act as a barrier, i sprayed it on some portion of the pole.
Thank you.

Re: Spiders on my Vantage Vue
Thanks for your replies. PaulMy, I did do a search of the Forum first, none of the "Spider" stories seem to deal with prevention rather than cure. laulau, now that's what I am looking for. Can you please define 'Insect Dam'. Are you suggesting a ring of insect repellant or maybe insect kil...

Spiders on my Vantage Vue
Hi we have had a few days of really calm winds here in sunny Somerset (the UK one). I notices that in very light breezes my weather vane was turning but not my wind cups. The Vue is mounted on a pole so it's not simple to get to. I took it down and found a couple of spiders living in the cups and a ...
Re: Wind Run
You could in fact invent your own wording using the Beaufort Scale, simply dividing the windrun by 24 gives the average (hourly) rate, which is how Beaufort is measured. I am not aware of any 'official' description ... although there may be something hidden away in green energy sites where windrun ...
Re: Wind Run
Yep, I get that but what has that got to do with my question? If you read my question I said "similar to the Beaufort". What I meant was a scale of wind run values that would quantify the amount of wind that passed my weather station in an easy form for my weather diary. Rather than say th...
Wind Run
Hi
does anyone know of a scale, similar to the Beaufort Scale, for wind run.
What I mean is (for example) up to 30 miles = Calm. 31 to 70 = Light.
I look forward to your replies.

Re: Cumulus and Rasperry Pi together
[quote="mcrossley" ..... Will our 'pi software read the Vue logger when you reconnect it to pick data missed whilst it is disconnected?[/quote] Now that's a thought, I had assumed that the Pi software would just miss a few minutes, it would be great if the Pi software was able to 'catch up...

Cumulus and Rasperry Pi together
Hi Can anyone help me with my project? What I want to do is run my Davis Vantage Vue on a Raspberry Pi so that I can share my weather on the internet 24/7. That bit is easy (well, maybe not easy, but doable) Now the hard bit I want to keep running Cumulus to maintain my weather records, graphs etc. ...

Re: Windows 8
I voted undecided. The reason is that my main laptop is running Win8 but Cumulus runs on an old laptop running Win7. OK so why did I vote undecided, the reason is that I would love Cumulus to run on a Linux platform. I want a 24/7 weather computer which will not be too power hungry, the answer is a ...

Solar Max
Hi everyone I have just downloaded the new version of Cumulus 1.9.4 My main reason for doing so was the " Calculate theoretical solar max when using logger data, even if station has no solar sensor " which feature I would love to have. Unfortunately I have not been able to find out how to ...
