Had some spare time today so i dismantled the solar charger, but did not find any electonics at all just the solar panel connected via 2 wires only, thru the plug which also carries the rain gauge data. I think the blurb which describes what is in the box is a bit ambiguous as i quote from the instr...

Am I correct when I say the W-8681 does not support the downloading of solar readings from the solar charger and is just that, a solar charger for the internal batteries.
