Re: Pro-Signal PSG04173
Thank for the info. I was not the OP, but was enquiring if he ever got it to work. I have windows 8.1 Sorry for any confusion. So if I am reading you correctly, I should be able to run MX on my PC and get the info from the station. At the moment I upload from my PC to a dedicated website, but that m...

Re: Pro-Signal PSG04173
Has anyone yet got this unit working successfully with Cumulus? I currently still using an old NG96GY and have my own weather station website using Cumulus working through the PC, but would like to replace it with something that connects direct to the modem/router. Are there better alternatives on a...

Re: Cumulus MX install
Many thanks for that. The only reason for changing, is to make it more "mobile friendly".
I will give it a try.

Cumulus MX install
Please bear with me as a non techy pensioneer! I have been running Cumulus 1 for many years on my pc (currently nttp://www.aberdaronweather.co.uk ) but realise that this format is now not "responsive" I take it that that is why Cumulus MX has been developed. I have found the dow...

N96FY Transmitter failure
The transmitter failed to transmit to my base station recently. On inspection and after removing and reinserting batteries the red led on the unit remained on all the time. I ordered a replacement from Maplins, but after a day I thought I would try the old transmitter again. After 24 hours in the ho...

Re: Lost/corrupted data N96GY
Sorted! (well nearly)
Went back in to edit records again and reloaded the dayfile data again, and this time I got some results for monthly rain. Dont really know why it worked this time but it did. Still showing Oct 2013 as wettest month, but hopefully that will sort itself out at the month end.

Re: Lost/corrupted data N96GY
I agree, I should have kept backups! :( Very strange, when I now go to edit monthly records and add logfile data it appears very similar to the dayfile data, whereas before there were lots of "-99999.9" and "????" type errors, so it looks as though the data wasnt corrupt after al...

Lost/corrupted data N96GY
I seem to have a problem with some corrupt data. I updated to the latest version of Cumulus in August 2013 and it is some of the data before then that appears to be corrupted, giving wrong results for "All time records" etc . I went to "View>highs and lows>monthly" no data appear...

Re: Google indexing .txt weather files
Many thanks for that. I realise I can block individual txt files, but which template file do I need to edit in Cumulus to ensure that all newly generated files contain the "no robots" info?

Google indexing .txt weather files
Very strange. Google has started indexing all .txt files relating to my weather station. If you search for "www.finghall.com" (as typed) you will see what I mean. Is there a way of adding something to the template for those pages to stop robots crawling them? Thanks.

Re: Problems with station communication
I experienced lockups and "lost contact" problems from virtually when the unit was new (Dec2011). This only happened when the console unit was connected via USB cable. After replacing the USB cable I have experienced no further problems, so it would appear that that was the cause.
