Re: Solar Data and "Max" Values

This was my recording today, which has been almost uninterrupted clear skies and bright sunshine from dawn to dusk. The depressed values in the early part of the day are the result of shadowing from trees and at some point when I've worked out how I'll raise the solar sensor by w few more feet with ...

Re: Change text colour temporarily on data update

Brilliant, thanks very much - just what I was after. I've implemented a little of this and just need to fine tune it but it does exactly what it says in the tin (and more!).
Thank you!

Change text colour temporarily on data update

Hi, I'm trying to find a way of highlighting data values that have changed on my web pages, just for a few seconds and then revert to the standard colour - I'm using HTML and javascript. I've searched the forum, as I'm sure the answer to this has been posted previously but I can't find it. Is anyone...

Re: Cannot download data.

Just as an afterthought, although the "manual" that came with the Watson describes the RF link as being 433MHz, the box in which the kit came shows the external sensors as communicating on 868MHz. A cursory check on the internet reveals this to be particularly susceptible to interference. ...

Re: Cannot download data.

So I was able witness the "sensor lost contact" report by Cumulus and the display on the Watson W8681 this evening and the behaviour matches exactly how Alan describes - the external values on the console revert to "---" after 6 error instances or 288 seconds elapsed from the fir...

Re: Cannot download data.

I've seen this "External Sensor Lost" problem a few times since commissioning a Watson W8681 Solar station and console in the last few days. Before that I had a Technoline Ws2350. What puzzles me is that, although Cumulus reports the error, I can't see anything on the Watson console to ind...

Thank you Steve - it's amazing what you can't see until someone else has a look at it!
Much appreciated,

HTML "wood for the trees" issue!!

I'm trying to create a line of code for one of my pages which says whether it's sunny, what the UV Index is, a description for the index value and an image selected to reflect the severity of the image. If I write document.write(<#UV>+" ("+uv_name+")"); where <#UV> is the webtag ...

Re: Solar Data and "Max" Values

Hi Steve,
Yes, the graph is there - it was another "D'oh!" moment from me - I'd forgotten to set the relevant cumulus.ini parameters to "1"...
