Re: DarkSky forecast script - multilingual for standalone/Saratoga templates

Fantastic work you've done there, Ken.

I like the fact I am able to have °C and mph together.

Great stuff! :)

Re: PHP code in Cumulus index.htm (indexT.htm)

Ah. You might need a slightly different line in your .htaccess as it depends on your servers set up. I had that same issue when I first tried it out years ago. Generally though, that's the standard way to get PHP working within html/htm etc. CGI: AddHandler cgi-script .html .htm FastCGI: AddHandler ...

Re: PHP code in Cumulus index.htm (indexT.htm)

This is what I use:

Code: Select all

AddType application/x-httpd-ea-php56 .html .htm
Drop that in .htaccess

Re: A few brave testers wanted please

Not true, you changed the font and have reduced the height (width) of the 'hours' around the outside of the button, so you modified the padding, that didn't work so you modified some of the math and ignored statements like Hi beteljuice When I said I kept it as it is, I meant the changes that I mad...

Re: A few brave testers wanted please

Hi beteljuice I changed up the background colour on mine, to match in with my website. However, as soon as I changed the background colour, the padding between dawn/sunrise/sunset/dusk became large. I put it all back to default to check to see if I had done something, but it was literally changing t...

Re: A few brave testers wanted please

I have to change

$height = 75px;
$width = 75px;

to

$height = 75;
$width = 75;

Otherwise the sun button image will not show.

Also, the image updater doesn't work for me. I have to refresh the page manually.

Re: A few brave testers wanted please

Hi beteljuice Nice work! I didn't need 'px' for the height and width, just the number. I have added it to my site successfully, I just have an issue with the popup image affecting stuff below it See here: https://warehamwx.co.uk/ Edit: Forget that, I had an error in the css. :oops: All working!

Right, I've switched my main page from using Weather Underground to UK Met. Office for the 'nowcast' and 5 day forecast summary. I'll have to see how robust it is...

I can't help you then, as it is all the time for me, whether it's on my mobile or my tablet or my PC, each time I make a visit, it's slow as hell. :?

I'm getting 100% packet loss when I try. The slowness of this forum has become slightly unbearable for me. It remi...

Re: New Cumulus Home

Is the server UK based or is it just the domain name?

It's exceptionally slow for me. Pages taking more than 10 seconds to load, even hitting the reply button took circa 10 seconds to bring this edit box up. :(

Re: help plz

For one thing, I see you have copied my edited version of historicGraphs.js. The temp/rain Met Office averages are set to my area - they are combined from two official stations that I live between, so they are completely wrong for your area. If you had of started with Mark's original copy, you might...

Re: Site going down.

What put me off A2 Hosting was all the extra they pushed on their website. Do I really need to pay for their backups when HostPresto do it as part of the service? Hmmm. I don't pay for backup service, you still get them free by default as part of cpanel. The extra charge is for automatic backups - ...
