Re: Rain not logged
Thanks for confirming this. Strangely, rewinding back to 28 Feb (and also changing the timestamp) didn't work for the current date in today.ini to update correctly. CMX would still catch-up the data but today.ini would stay at 28 Feb with the consequence with the rainfall not getting logged. I chang...

Re: Rain not logged
Yes I fully understand it create problems but it would be a major disadvantage to remove about 2 years of data before I used Cumulus for the reason that CMX can't handle nulls. This data is not complete enough to not have nulls so I would need to completely remove the data from the dayfile. I have s...

Re: Rain not logged
That is because I have nulls from including data prior to starting with Cumulus. I know you are not supposed to include nulls as CMX can't load the dayfile properly but it is there because there was significant weather that occurred during that time. This issue seems to be related to the today.ini b...

Re: Rain not logged
To add when I rewind the data I notice in the today.ini file once the re-wind is completed doesn't change to current date and instead stays the same. By that, this is the top bit of the today.ini after the re-wind is complete. #Last updated: 05/03/2024 23:15:49 [General] Date=05/03/2024 Timestamp=20...

Rain not logged
After the rollover on 1 Mar CMX no longer is logging new rainfall. In the diags I get: "DoRain: A reading arrived at the start of a new day, but before we have done the roll-over. Ignoring it". I can see in the diags file the roll over occurs for the new day before this but I get new entry...

Re: System.OutOfMemoryException
Seem pretty similar. Until I increased the swap size CMX would silently crash, aborted by the system like you say. Once I increased the swap size it work take longer to crash and cumulus would crash as well but not killed quite as often by the system. Jul 23 20:35:58 raspberrypi kernel: [ 3324.67377...

System.OutOfMemoryException
I tried updating my CMX from 3.23.1 (b3221) to 3.25.2 (b3245) and get an Out of MemoryException and CMX crashing within 2 hrs of starting up. This is using a Davis WLL on a Raspberry Pi 3B+. While running the newer version I notice the mono process eating through memory very quickly, and gets to bel...

Re: Just in case
No worries. I would be happy to assist with this if you need any thing further - we get plenty of ET here. I already had some calculations worked out because I wanted to use the ET values because of the WLL not calculating the data from separate sensors. Interesting comparisons there - can't compare...

Re: Just in case
After the tweaks to the ET calculation in build 3152, I re did my comparisons for the year so far and is similar to the previous totals of when this was first included in CMX. ET CMX ET CMX v2 ET bom1 ET bom2 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Jan 123.45 123.77 164.5 ...

Re: Just in case
No worries Mark.
Thanks for that.
For my tests I based my code on your code and after that compared it the FAO document. And as you say that info is the calculation procedure pages, which is where I notice some things to check as provided.

Re: Just in case
I have done some comparisons of my previous calculation of ET compared to the formulas that have been used in CMX using my station data for the year so far. Since this was added to CMX, the daily totals that I calculated for this comparison are quite similar to daily totals recorded by CMX since thi...

Re: Just in case
Great to see this addition, as I was rather disappointed that the WLL won't calculate ET from the solar sensor on a secondary transmitter! To overcome that I have used SQL to calculate that (and evaporation) but is rather approx. and rough at the moment and needed more work, so it will be interestin...
