Re: WH1080 Transmitter or New Station ?
I split the case off of the transmitter that I'd been using most recently. I had nothing to lose as it had been drying out on a radiator for a couple of days, then did nothing when I put some batteries in. The case came apart really easily, the 2 halves were pressed together rather than glued or wel...

Re: WH1080 Transmitter or New Station ?
Many thanks for the ideas, I have 2 transmitters that are faulty so will try to get the cases off and see what's inside. Worst outcome, is that I'll break them. I'll also keep a lookout on prices for alternatives, I seem to remember that the Fine Offset kit prices had wild swings too.

Re: WH1080 Transmitter or New Station ?
Unfortunately I do not have an answer to your question where to get a replacement in UK, but a warning. Some time in history the RF protocol between the transmitter and console changed. If your console is the older model, then the newer version transmitter won’t work and vice versa. If someone has ...

WH1080 Transmitter or New Station ?
My WH1080 transmitter has finally given up, it's a Clas Ohlson model with the DCF time updates.
Just wondering if there's a source for spares in the UK at reasonable prices or if I need to get a new weather station?

No reception when it rains - OK when it's sunny
I have a WH1080 that's been working fine for a few years but during some heavy rain a couple of weeks ago the station lost contact with the transmitter. I put the transmitter inside for a couple of days to dry it out, then put the batteries back and all was fine indoors. After a couple more days, I ...

Re: Transmitter Problems after Battery Change
Thanks for your reply Alan, for some reason I didn't get an email notification or would have posted again sooner. Well, the station has been running fine now for over a week since I took the batteries out and then back in again. I also re-seated both of the sensor cables. It may have been a bit of d...

Transmitter Problems after Battery Change
I have a Clas Ohlson WH1080 which was working fine for over a year. A while ago the battery low warning indicator appeared and not surprisingly the display would lose contact from time to time. About 2 weeks ago, I replaced the batteries using Energizer Lithium batteries just like before and all see...

Re: WH1080 "On Offer" at Clas Ohlson until Cyber Monday
I bought my WH1080 from CO about this time last year, it was £40 with 10% off and by the time I'd added postage back on it came to about the same. The barometer in my station failed last week, CO have sent a new display unit without quibble after I sent them some pictures showing the fault. CO offer...

Re: Air Pressure Sensor - WH1080
Hi, Some of the modules used in FO stations appear to be made by the Chinese company "Hope RF" (which appears to be linked to FO in some way, if not actually the same company). Unfortunately, Hope RF modules don't seem to be available on the open market in small quantities, so I don't hol...

Re: Air Pressure Sensor - WH1080
Unfortunately the value being transmitted looks to be constantly at zero, the display is showing the same. It could be a dry joint, I'll take a look at some point but will leave it for now just in case it decides to start again. If there's no easy replacement out there it probably won't do any harm ...

Air Pressure Sensor - WH1080
Has anyone replaced the air pressure sensor in a WH / WS 1080? Mine has failed and from the looks of pictures kindly posted from the insides, this looks to be a fairly standard component. I've had a look in this part of the forum but cannot see any relevant threads, if I missed something a redirecti...

Re: Feeding sensor outputs to multiple receivers
Interesting stuff in this thread. I also have an old FO console that I'm reluctant to part with via the bin as it's a neat & clear display. The transmitter unit failed sometime last year and I bought a Clas Ohlson branded Fine Offset to replace it. Unfortunately one very windy day, the old senso...

Re: First Impressions - RPi ModB & Fine Offset USB
The station is directly on the B+ USB port. I'm running Firefox as browser on Android & WinXP, both had this problem. From memory, I'd left the browser windows open and then shut the pc down. When I started up again the web pages would not refresh. Logging into the Pi via Putty showed the higher...

Re: First Impressions - RPi ModB & Fine Offset USB
Cumulus has stopped updating & is non responsive on the web page twice, once each day. However after a restart, the charts seem to have kept updating even though the web page was non responsive. Mono appears to be still running, but at 40% CPU instead of the usual 5%. I was running Mono in backg...
