Re: Easiest way to integrate data into home automation

Investigate Domoticz, it's free and open source.

I have it running on a Raspberry Pi and talking to my Honeywell evohome system and Weather Underground, but I believe it will run on Windows.

Re: WU update error (anyone else getting this)

WU has started accepting my updates again, at 05:30 this morning. Looking back there are 36 hours missing.

Nothing has changed this end, CumulusMX has been up for two weeks.

Re: Running both v1 and MX

If I have a splitter on the output from the transmitter (Davis), can I use the data feed to run 2 PCs, one running v1, the other mx .... The answer to this bit is No. The communication between Cumulus and the console is two way. Having two connected is a recipe for disaster. You can run one Cumulus...

Re: Running both v1 and MX

It is possible with a set of scripts to edit the files (date formats are different) to make one set from the other, but you cannot run them off the same set of data files.

I am going to use Cumulus 1 to edit my history because MX does not have that functionality.

Re: looks like wunderground have messed up again

You live in a lovely part of the world. It certainly is. The station readings are compromised by the woods and the effect of the river valley on the prevailing winds, but I'm a beekeeper and really want to know the conditions affecting the bees. I just had a look at your records page and a little b...

Wunderground coming clean noted on other thread.

My webcam (URL scraped by them) has started showing on my station page again.

Status change still not sticking yet.

Re: Back again

If you know some basic electronics knowledge, you can use all those sensors with the Weatherduino Pro 2 system with the same or better accuracy of the Davis instruments. http://www.meteocercal.info/forum/Thread-What-is-the-WeatherDuino-Pro2 Thanks, I got a complete refund on the Oregon from Amazon,...

Re: Back again

Great to see it all working.

I am considering a Davis VV, I have had my fill of cheap stations, Maplin Fine Offset failed after 2 years, Oregon WMR180 after 2 months.

What do you need to connect the Davis console to the Pi?

Cheers for any guidance

Editing CMX logs using Windows Cumulus 1

My logs and history are a mess due to a malfunctioning Fine Offset station. I would like to get rid of all the zeros and spikes to make a clean history. Just supposing I stop CMX and duplicate the data directory into my old Cumulus setup on Windows. Using select-a-graph I can look at each month and ...

Re: Dew point zero immediately after restart

Sorry, brain fade, For dew point in the above read windchill.

The station is set as a WMR100 as recomended

The console always shows NA for windchill, but I think that's because it is very sheltered here.
