Thanks to all. Charlie was right, and the station is now working with a 15 metre extention cable. Of the four cables I had, one worked intermittently, and 3 not at all. After adjusting (i.e. bending) the contacts slightly at the thermo / transmitter connectors seems to have done the trick, meaning i...
