Re: Barometric signal loss!

Hi I see from your site that you got this sorted. I have the same problem - how did you sort the problem Hi Glendover...I bought a new console (and weatherlink) and use both console connected to my outside ISS ;) NB: Got a mail from Davis and they could fix a new sensor on the console for about 50€...

Re: New user - Vantage Vue - More frequent wind data?

Very impressive Instrument setup/layout, "mcrossley" .....can I use this with my Vantage Vue + Cumulus setup? You could in theory, but it belongs to John at Prodata Systems, you would need his permission. OK...is he here on the forum or where do I contact him for permission and what to do...

Re: New user - Vantage Vue - More frequent wind data?

It is possible to get (almost - see Steve's caveat) every 2.5 second wind speed update irrespective of your realtime interval. For instance my realtime interval is set to 5 seconds, but my Climatica display updates every 2.5 seconds by reading the wind arrays available via the web tags. Cumulus add...

Re: New console and weatherlink

The annual total is calculated from the daily totals in dayfile.txt, see the FAQ: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Where_does_Cumulus_get_its_this_month_and_this_year_rainfall_totals_from.3F As you weren't getting end of day rollovers when your station was broken, it is likely that you have entries...

Re: New console and weatherlink

Hi...seems to work, but the only thing I see missing, is the total amount rain this year.
Should be around 150mm, but was starting on 83.6mm (had som rain today) so shows 91.6mm now.
How to catch up to make this right???

Thank's.

Re: New console and weatherlink

Just do what you did with the previous console and logger. Set the console up following the Davis instructions, and make sure you set the logger to serial mode (more details in the FAQ). Set the console logger interval to the same as the Cumulus logger interval. AsI hoped, Steve ....was afraid of l...

New console and weatherlink

Since I earlier reported about my broken barometric sensor, I (hopefully today) will get my new weatherlink logger. This will be hooked up with a brand new console as well, so my question is: 1: Is there something I need to do regarding data, etc, so I don't screw this up missing anything? 2: With t...

Re: Barometric signal loss!

hmm...not sure what to do with the old console, but I have order a new logger. So I'm the first here with a broken barometric sensor..was hoping a replacement had been done before here on the forum. But I can use two (#6351) consoles to receive data from my ISS and when I get my new logger (6510USB)...

Re: Barometric signal loss!

Hi, I don't know if it's the same sensor/console, but the photo in this repair doesn't look like the same sensor. There are numerous different barometric sensors, so unless you can get a definitive confirmation of the exact Part Number used by Davis, then a "cheapie" from China is unlkely...

Re: Barometric signal loss!

The barometric sensors in the consoles do occasionally stop working. Depending on the type of sensor / console some can be replaced but they are a small 9mm module that is surface mounted and extremely fiddly to change. Replacing the console is an option, but of course a newer console may not be co...

Re: Dayfile problem - please help.

OK, Steve....when I buy/add a new consoll it's just plug & play or is there something I should remember? I don't know much about the Vantage Vue, but I would imagine you would power off the old console, move the logger over and power up the new one, then follow the setup instructions in the man...

Re: Dayfile problem - please help.

Any suggestion, Steve...should it be placed in another line maybe? No, the [Station] section is the correct place Is it also possible to add a fixed value for the barometric pressure ? No. Edit: I removed it since all temp got wrong. That's the risk of using this setting. The whole point of the che...

Re: Dayfile problem - please help.

Just added NoSensorCheck=1 just below "Station" in the Cumulus.ini, but now it shows the same high & lows on today & yesterday(?) Any suggestion, Steve...should it be placed in another line maybe? Is it also possible to add a fixed value for the barometric pressure ? Edit: I remove...

This one - the other one is nothing to do with Davis stations anyway. It's rather confusing that the other setting is mentioned in this particular FAQ, so I've removed it.
Sorry, but (just to get it right) where in the Cumulus.ini file do I put this?
