Re: Help with Dashboard & Highcharts customisations

Oh crikey, sorry I thought you were talking about your website. That webtag will be available to the interface, as the interface uses the CMX API to get its webtag values. You can see it for yourself if you try: http://<cmx-ip-address>:8998/api/tags/process.json?tempMidnightTL So there must be an ad...

Re: Help with Dashboard & Highcharts customisations

Hi Antonio, Okay, I understand what you're trying to achieve. The reason your spam doesn't work is because the tempMidnightTL webtag isn't included in the standard data transfer files, such as websitedata.json. To add it you would need to edit the template file websitedataT.json. This template can b...

Re: New help fixing time from UTC to my local time in Florida

Also, MX gets all its times from the host on which it is running on. If the timezone on that host is set to UTC then that is what it will use. Note I'm not talking about your web host, just the machine MX is running on.

Re: New help fixing time from UTC to my local time in Florida

Do you use php upload to transfer data to your host? That uses a file called upload.php - but it won't delete your index.php. If your hosting provider doesn't allow you to use this functionality then you will have to switch your MX upload method to something else, such as FTP or sftp.

Re: Using 64 bit Rasberry Pi OS on a RPi Zero 2W

I think the Pi zero is a bit under-resourced for running MX under dotnet. I don't actually own one but that is what I've been led to believe. Perhaps there is somebody more knowledgeable who can concur or correct me. The mono install appears to stop on install as it is busy compiling components that...

Re: Help with Dashboard & Highcharts customisations

For the minimum temperature, you could set up MX so that it finishes its recording day (rollover time) at midnight. This is the default for a MX installation. To change from a 9am rollover you have to select the "midnight" option in Settings -> Station Settings -> Log Rollover.

Re: Finding a few basic needles in a mass of haystacks

Yes, CMX requests data from the logger as a part of its normal operation. So if you have switched off CMX overnight, it will read data from the logger for the time period it was switched off. Note that the logger holds a fixed number of data record, so the period of data contained in the logger will...

Re: Need help adjusting crazy yearly rainfall totals

Have you checked the totals recorded on dayfile.txt? You can do this through the dayfile log editor on the dashboard.

Re: Secondary rain gauge - how to access the data

It's not impossible. That solution would work if CMX was pulling data from the GW1100, but mine pushes the data to CMX. I have put together my own server this afternoon. The GW1100 pushes its data to this, and I just reassign the rainfall to some other variables that CMX stores, then it pushes the d...

Re: Problem with the records menu

@hansr I'm going with the assumption that CMX can read the inifiles containing the record data - as we see no errors in the log, and record data for April is shown in the screenshots. Therefore the historic record data from the old installation can't be in the inifiles that are being read.

Re: Problem with the records menu

Looks like there is some configuration missing. Have you copied across the entire contents of the data folder from your old installation? This should include all the .ini files, as well as the monthly logs and dayfile. From what do you draw that conclusion @freddie? It simply reads the inifiles wit...

Re: Secondary rain gauge - how to access the data

No it's just the single instance collecting from the Davis, and receiving from the GW1100. I do have a database but need to get the data in it first :)

Secondary rain gauge - how to access the data

I have installed a secondary rain gauge - an Ecowitt WH40 - in addition to my main Davis gauge. This is so I can run some comparisons. How do I access the data from the WH40? I can see it appearing in the incoming data from my GW1100. Is it the case that MX doesn't handle a second rain gauge, and I ...

Re: Finding a few basic needles in a mass of haystacks

Yes, you need the "DOS routine" running as that is what the display reads its data from. If it's not running then the display does not have any data to use for display. This, along with other differences from Cumulus 1, is explained in the wiki.
