Re: where did this rainfall come from?
Most odd. The laptop had been freshly booted yesterday, so I can't see how there could've been more than one instance of the program running At least I now know where it came from and can do something about it Oh, and I take your comment on board about disconnection. I tend to unplug on completion o...

Re: where did this rainfall come from?
Yes Steve, I only connect every few days and download data to have a look at, the LCD is fine for my realtime use. All rainfall records were allegedly broken @ 1013 on 2/5/14 with a value of 7431; but I don't see it in the dayfile for that date?

where did this rainfall come from?
So I downloaded the last few days data this evening and find a *record* rainfall spike of over 7k mm on Friday. It's showing in all the records, but I don't see any rainfall in dayfile to match it. Any ideas? Diags attached

Re: N96GY Rain Sensor Repair?
Mine failed last month, the reedswitch contacts went high resistance. Put a new reed in, but obviously didn't get the orientation just right as the original magnet wouldn't switch it. I didn't spend any more time on it after that, just ordered a new'un...

Re: No wind speed data being recorded
unplug the sensor, and look inside the socket- check that the little gold contact springs are all hanging down equally. Then, with a fine screwdriver press gently on each of thee gold terminals in the plug. Connect and retry.

Re: 1044 crashing.
as I always have done...
I use the console as a logger, download to the laptop, disconnect, and then wander over to a soft seat to peruse the last few days records. A "device disconnected" error I expect, but this crashing is new.

Re: 1044 crashing.
I just reconnected, to confirm my symptoms. On this occasion, I downloaded, waited for processing, accessed graphs, waited a while, all OK. Disconnected the USB and... crash.

1044 crashing.
Steve, I plug in and download from the FO station every couple of days. Since I installed 1044, the software stops with a bug report a short time after downloading and processing. It stays up long enough to grab live data and offer a forecast, but a short time later (either on the main screen or in ...

Re: WH3080 lost when it's beginning rain
just do a "down arrow" to have the console re-scan. Likely a change in temp or rh has caused the transmitter's timer ( there are separate timing windows for temp/rh/rain versus solar) to drift slightly.

sounds like the rain and solar's wires are swapped or touching?
