Re: Weather Station for Android
Sorry, but Google doesn't allow me to put paid version on googleplay. (They don't allow selling from Slovenia) That seems rather biased to me. Just because a person lives in a "Google-defined" country, you can't charge for an app? I don't pretend to understand their reasoning. However, an...

Re: Weather Station for Android
Thanks Ales, for not only implementing the requested enhancements, but for the speed in which you did it.
And again Gordon has taken the words from my mouth. I would definitely pay to have a version without advertising.

Re: Weather Station for Android
Thank you. You supplied the two missing links - 1) that it needed to be on my local drive; and 2) that it needed to be uploaded to the server. I could swear the original instructions I read said that sunbird.txt needed to be placed on the server, and I took that to mean I only had to put it there on...

Re: Weather Station for Android
Hi Ales... I've got 1.3 downloaded, up and running. However, I've got to have something wrong with my sunbird.txt file. This is what I'm using, but the time of sunrise/sunset has never changed since I uploaded this on July 8. E 42° 19' 05"|N 71&de...

Re: Weather Station for Android
Hi For sunbird.txt see here: https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=381 Ales... Thanks for the 1.2 update. It's working great. I look forward to you adding "evening" icons to the app. Can you show me the format for latitude and longitude in sunbird.txt? Right now I have N ...

Re: Weather Station for Android
I have the very same questions, Gordon. I can't imagine that the file will update itself. I've noted today's times and will look at the data tomorrow.
But you're right - it doesn't really matter once 1.2 is released without the need to sunbird.txt.

Re: Weather Station for Android
Thanks for the information, but I have to ask the one question developers hate to be asked - how long before the next version will be released? While it's fine to launch the app each time I want to check on my weather station, the widget is much more useful. And without sunbird.txt, the widget is cu...

Re: Weather Station for Android
Ales- Pardon me for being dense, but I have read through this entire thread and still don't understand the necessary file sunbird.txt. Where does that file come from? Is it something I have to create as a text file? And if so, exactly what data goes in it and in what format? And just to confirm, onc...

PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send it along. No guarantees that it will work for you. But it is still working just fine for me.

Re: Android app for Cumulus
Hi Joe... The new version of Cumulus Realtime uploaded automatically to my Droid X overnight and was working fine all day today. A short while ago I looked at the forum and noted that a new realtime.xml needed to be added. I overwrote the old version with the one I downloaded and now I have no data ...

Re: Android app for Cumulus
Here's the requested screenshot: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25769676/Internet_Settings_Web%20Settings.jpg And yes, I equate "forced update" with "Web Update" via the File menu. And the snippet of the log came from realtimeftplog.txt. As I've been using Web Update and waiting on the ...

Re: Android app for Cumulus
There's your first mistake, Steve. You're assuming I know what I'm doing when it comes to my server. :D I've removed the leading slash and realtime.xml uploaded once when I forced a web update. And not since. Neither automatically nor forced. Here are the screenshots of my Internet Settings of Cumul...

Re: Android app for Cumulus
Good tip, Steve. Below is the relevant (I think) portion of the FTP log. I can figure out what it means, but I don't know why that would be happening seeing as I'm not touching the file. (I'm having a little trouble uploading the screenshots. I'll get them shortly, I hope.) 08:37:40:072 ! Data Sessi...

Re: Android app for Cumulus
Not being one to just sit and wait, it's beginning to feel like I'm experiencing two problems. First is that Cumulus isn't uploading realtime.xml properly. The second is that the app on the Droid isn't finding the data. (Of course neither will turn out to be the case since there are users who have t...
