MX V4 and PHP upload

Mark, you’ve done a great job. I’ve currently have MX installed on rPi-5’s and one CM4 and on one Windows machine running Win11 ‘Insiders beta’ . rPi’s running Bookworm. It took me awhile to straighten out all of my bugs but everything is running great. Never gave much though to running multi...

Re: CumulusMX Start|Stop - Management Script (CumulusMX 2.5.5.7)

I’ve been using the script for quite some time now. I haven’t had any issues at all. I’ve done quite a bit of customization and it saves significant effort after an update. For me the ability to exempt a directory is its prime feature. I’ve used the update utility and it’s a little wonky but works. ...

Re: System.OutOfMemoryException

I also have had the ‘memory exception’ since 3235 till now. Thanks to Mark I have been running a beta version of 3248 for over a week and would like to report that it has been running flawlessly. I would attribute the ‘fix’ to the cumulative changes to MX (rewrites, recompiles etc.), updates to the ...

Re: What's happened to "Mono"?

Thanks all. It's beginning to make a little more sense.

Just checked the 'Mono-project' website and the link for Debian and Raspian has returned. However, if I read it correctly still no 64 bit Bullseye support.

Re: What's happened to "Mono"?

Update on Mono, nothing official. Looking around the Mono-project website especially the resource folders Raspian Bullseye seems to have disappeared. Then today Jeff Geerling posted a rant about "RedHat" pulling Centos, essentially pulling the rug out from "open source" software....

What's happened to "Mono"?

Last Friday (6-16/23) while troubleshooting an issue about CMX 3245 I was trying to install the latest version of Mono from the "Mono-project" site where there used to be link specific to Raspian there no longer is anything for linux except 'Ubuntu'. Current link https://www.mono-project.c...

Re: Unable to solve the issue b3244

I was suspect of that as the hardware designator is ‘armhf’, the Debian includes ‘arm64’. But I guess the kicker is that both are mono-devel, I had mono-complete prior.

We’ll see.

Cheers :D

Re: Unable to solve the issue b3244

Yes, things have been a work in progress, working through issues has forced some of the issues to the surface. Trying to install mono I couldn’t find how to install 6.12.0.182 on “Bullseye” so I’ve adapted the “Debian 10” and am waiting. One of the reasons I’ve waited so long to post is that I could...

Re: Unable to solve the issue b3244

Hans, thanks for the reply. My bad, yes the update script I’ve been using is @jank’s, and yes I realize that it’s not been updated. I do use the start/stop CMX as a service and manually stop/start before doing the update. I’ve been putting off using the new tool but will get up to speed. “ Check all...

Unable to solve the issue b3244

Haven't been able to get any version to work stable since b3235. I've been trying every rendition (including beta's) along the way since b3235. I've always been able to start the version and get it to upload via FTP. I've tried the PHP upload but it appears my host isn't to keen to allow the method....

Re: CMX/SSD installation on RPi

From a support point of view: users which like weather more than hardware technique may be happy with a simple solution. Members more into technique will find their own solution like you did. And now I need a good rack to hold all those loose wired devices that swarm around the house  I'm tota...

Re: CMX/SSD installation on RPi

With a good SSD and an RPi3+ or RPi4 (and up probably) it is possible to use the the SSD as boot device without the necessity to first boot from SDcard and have an SSD as a secondary device. To have an SSD boot you may just use the Raspberry Pi Imager and put the OS on the SSD like you would with a...

Re: Data has stopped being uploaded

Paul I also had used "HostPresto" and would have stayed with them except that https was an extra fee and my original plan had expired and would have meant a pretty sizable increase in cost. Moving to HostGator was a bit of a pain but everything is working. I mentioned the common limit of 8...

Re: Data has stopped being uploaded

I had the same issue while transferring from one host to another. 8 FTP connections seem to be the hot spot for hosts, anyway. I discovered that some of my extra files that I were FTP’ing were failing, it was some path errors that would cause the FTP to hang up and not close. The solution was to sto...
