Re: Export to WeatherLink
Wow. I never heard of the WiFiLogger. I went to their website, and it appears that the WiFi logger does a lot of the same things as CMX; excepting maybe keeping a detailed log and providing an internal weather website. I've been quite happy with CMX for almost an entire decade though. What am I miss...

Re: Export to WeatherLink
Thank you for the clarification. All this time, I was under the presumption that WLL within CMX "took over" the functionality of a WLPC setup. Back when I first got the Davis VP2, I ran the Davis WLL application, and it was OK, but nothing to write home about. This the VP2 with the data lo...

Re: Export to WeatherLink
What device(s) is doing the upload to Weatherlink.com and how? Color me confused. I thought the WLL part of CMX was supposed to be doing the upload. Back in the day with Cumulus 1, I could not run both Cumulus and the Davis weather app at the same time. There was something about 2 simultaneous acce...

Re: Export to WeatherLink
Stumbling along here. Running Cumulus MX 3.28.6 b3283. I entered the key and secret on the weatherlink.com website, and put that information into the settings in CMX. The UI indicated that if I did not have a stationID, to leave it alone, so I left it at "-1". However, when CMX restarted, ...

Re: Export to WeatherLink
Well thank you very much for doing that!
As I read through the instructions, does changing the station type to Davis WLL eliminate the other 3rd party uploads I'm currently using with Davis Vantage Pro 2 (e.g. Wunderground, Windy, PWS , Met Office, CWOP, etc.)?

Re: Export to WeatherLink
In the Wiki, the page about Weatherlink Live talks about "On wl.com open your user profile, you will see a section titled API Key v2", but navigating to WL.com yields the website https://wlco.no/, which is some kind of Maritime Innovation website in Norway.
I am confused.

Re: Version mismatch (b3244)?
Figured it out. Muffed the copy command. All the b3244 files went into a subdirectory names CumulusMX under CumulusMX. Eesh.

Re: Version mismatch (b3244)?
Yes. Did the stop; update; start. Did it twice. I did not see any errors in the copy command.

Re: Version mismatch (b3244)?
That doesn't seem to be it. I did the refresh in chrome with the same result. So then I tried edge and brave; same result.
The curious thing is that the "Upgrade available" is showing a non-flashing green (I think it's green; I'm color blind).

Version mismatch (b3244)?
I just updated from CMX b3235 to CMX b3244.
It seems to be working, but the version shown at the bottom of the dashboard is still b3235.
My usual routine is to do a cp -aRuv (newCMX dir) (oldCMX dir), which should just overlay any updated files.
Is the overlay method bad juju?

Re: CWOP error: Value was either too large or too small for an Int32
I just wanted to report that I installed the current version of CMX (Cumulus MX 3.24.2 b3235), and turned on Loop2. I then let it run through a couple of cycles of updating CWOP. We no longer get the int32 error. I also went to findu.com, and the updates are happening there as well. From here it loo...

Re: Minimize writes on SD/Emmc Memory
I was reading a little more about log2ram, and it turns out you can eliminate the symlink by modifying the /etc/log2ram.conf by changing the "PATH_DISK", which tells log2ram what to put in the ramdisk. In my case, I have CMX placed in /home/pi/CumulusMX, so I adjusted the PATH_DISK thusly:...

I got both from PiMyLifeUp.com.
