Re: New Record? Post here.

New records for Durham UK over the last two days: 18 July 2022 High Minimum temperature 19.4°C Max Average temperature 25.8°C - (didn't last long though) Minimum humidity 18% at 18:46 equalling the 18% on 27 April 2015 so not strictly a new record. 19 July 2022 High Temperature 38.1°C (100.58°F) at ...

Re: Will it or won't it..

Durham made it to 38.1c at 16:25, thats just over the magic 100f and an increase of of 4.4c on the previous record. Thankfully going down fast now.

Re: Will it or won't it..

Here in Durham yesterday we just missed the July 2019 record high of 33.7c with a high of 33.2c at 17:31, though we did have a new highest minimum record of 19.4c. That record won't be beaten today but the high temperature one has been wiped out with a current high of 37.6c and we are 55°north. Norm...

Re: Will it or won't it..

Now 32.6c so getting close to my 12 year high temperature of 33.7 on 25 July 2019, seems likely that it will be exceeded today. One record that will certainly go is highest minimum temperature which is 17.8c on 24 July 2012. It only got down to 19.4c last night and it certainly will not get below th...

Re: 3.10.0 Changes.

Thanks @beteljuice These are the revised old templates from Mark and I noticed they came with a different setpagedata.js from the new pages and they use a different data field identifier. This is the conversion line in this setpagedata.js "$('span[id^=cmx-]').each(function () { ". For the ...

Re: 3.10.0 Changes.

First I just want to say that all the work you guys are doing is great. The new web site looks much slicker and I totally understand the move to server side page updates. I am also thankful that I can take the latest version but stick to what I have for the moment as I have changed quite a lot of st...

Re: Too many open files

Thanks Mark, lots of Googling and this is where I got to. I looked a the open files for the CumulusMX process and there were none! After a bit of head scratching CumulusMX is running under Mono and Mono does all the interaction with the OS. Checking open files in Mono there are currently 185, there ...

Re: Too many open files

Thanks for the AWEKAS information - I will fix that. I thought they just limited connections when busy! On the Too many open files issue, all the research I have done suggests this is an OS error report. This doesn't seem to be a standard FTP error report. When the FTP command executes I presume it ...

Too many open files

Hi I have CumulusMX release b3107 running on a raspberry pi 3 model B using Buster with Mono 5.18. CumulusMX runs fine for weeks then I get a "Too many open files" error then more and more errors of the same and System.IO errors until nothing works properly. I replaced the SD card with a n...

Re: Highcharts Graphs

These are the structures and triggers I use for SunbyHour, SunbyMonth Hour and TempbyMonth Hour. I don't have the Daily Insolation ones and have been looking for them plus those for the Temperature Comfort Chart for a while so if you have those it would be great if you could share. The table files a...

Re: Rain cone holding water

Added two new photos, one with the outside of the cone treated with Gyeon then sprayed with water, one of the untreated outside sprayed. The Gyeon treated side seems to have smaller beads and they ran off faster so may give some improvement. I decided to remove NeverWet from the inside of the new co...

Re: Rain cone holding water

I also use Gyeon on my car, it makes the water bead but the question is whether it will then run off or stay as a bead? When the car gets wet the water is blown off but that doesn’t happen on the inside of the cone. Will have a go on the outside of my new cone and take a few more photos.

Re: Rain cone holding water

Thanks for the Alcohol suggestion. Unfortunately, I had already sprayed the inside of the cone with NeverWet (more below) but I hadn't done anything to the outside of the cone. I cleaned one side thoroughly with 99% IPA and left the other as was and they both seemed to bead equally when lightly spra...

Re: Rain cone holding water

I agree with everybody who says you shouldn’t need to coat the rain cone with anything and also agree that the met office certainly doesn’t do that. My original cone (9 years old) didn’t hold any beaded water but the new one does, at least 0.4mm worth on what is an almost vertical surface. That mean...

Re: Rain cone holding water

Thats proper rain. I have only had two days above 10mm since February. Durham UK is in the rain shadow of the Pennine hills and most of the rain I get is what’s left of the fronts from the Atlantic. Hence the requirement to capture all the drizzle! I looked at RainX and it's website suggests that it...
