Thanks, I suspected that was the case. What I need to do is run Cumulus more frequently, or better still have it running all the time ... another reason to get a new laptop to free up this one (doing very well after 5 years or more) - but will it convince my wife?

Yes, a couple of minutes after it has loaded the Vantage archive. Thinking this might be a problem I just closed it after it had been open for I guess an hour or so and it closed as normal. Thanks all. Since asking the question I've had much fun using XAMPP to set up a webserver on the same laptop as Cumulus. Apart from a minor issue of security I think I've a setup that would work. Should it all fall apart I shall certainly drop David a line.
