    Re: New Record? Post here.

Thanks to Storm Ciara I had my highest ‘wind run’ figure yesterday in 10 years of running Cumulus, 197.3 miles.
Also had the highest ever pressure reading last month, 1049 hPa on the 19th Jan.

Re: RaspberryPi: CumulusMX init.d System Startup Script

I know this is an old thread, so apologies for bringing it back from the dead, but I have finally managed to get my Raspberry Pi to autostart CumulusMX using this script. Other methods failed for me. So thanks to the OP for posting this. On Wheezy I had been able to add a screen command in /etc/rc.l...

Thanks HansR, I don't think I have any edits on the web pages but I will naturally save the old card and the backups from it.

What data to transfer to new microSD card?

I have been running CumulusMX on a Pi2 since the early days, but haven’t updated for ages, so I’m still running version 038 on a card running Raspbian Wheezy. Following the help thread on here (thanks v much) I have loaded up a new card with ‘buster’, installed mono and have it booting to a command ...

I am not using the reports at present as I have not configured the web files to display them yet, but the reports are still being created. Here is the header of the October 15 report seen in a text editor: ******************************************************************************* Monthly Climat...

Try using your machine's IP address, instead of localhost.

I have found that MX on my Pi always recovers very happily, as soon as the Internet comes back on line.

Many of us are running CumulusMX on a Raspberry Pi, that much less power than your HP Box, takes up very little space and they are very cheap to buy.

Re: Raspberry Pi flavoured Cumulus MX - How it's gone for me

You might want to add FileZilla to your list of useful tools. You may already use it to upload web pages for Cumulus 1, make sure ftp is running on the Pi (I think it runs by default as part of Arabian) and then you can connect to the Pi using FileZilla and copy, move and delete files on the Pi easi...

    Re: Data values stuck

So does this confirm that you have CumulusMX running on a Davis IP logger? No, unfortunately not. I'm using a USB Davis logger. When I tried the IP Logger MX refused to see any data. I could connect to the logger via a browser on my desktop PC, but MX did not connect to it. I will try again with th...

    Re: Data values stuck

Two weeks on and time for another update. After the last updates my Pi ran faultlessly for 2 weeks, and during that time I had horrendous ADSL connection issues, with the service coming and going almost at will, but the Pi2 and CumulusMX coped, it just worked, well done Steve! Regarding the firmware...

    Re: Data values stuck

Ok time for an update on this issue. I was originally using my Vantage Vue with a Bellfry-boy clone logger and it was that set-up that suffered the flat line data problem. Since buying the Vantage Vue I succeeded to buy a genuine Davis USB logger along with an IP logger on eBay. I could not make the...

    Re: NVD3 vs Highcharts

The zoom Control (top left corner of the graph) doesn't work on IE11 (Windows 8.1). Running ie11 on win8.1, Found you have to double-click the dark items 6, 12 etc. "zoom" is just text. The grey item e.g. all, is the currently selected item. That works, well spotted, strange that in Chrome a single...
